Description

The rehearsal sessions at Twickenham Studios, where the film “LET IT BE” was shot, are recorded in chronological order, with the focus on performances, excluding long conversations and fragmentary songs! All songs are recorded in real stereo version using the latest digital analysis of the existing A-roll and B-roll Nagra reel mono sound sources! The definitive rehearsal session with upgraded remastered sound sources, which are different from the many session sound sources in the past! The latest compilation of the “Get Back Sessions”, which is the basis of The Beatles’ last album “LET IT BE” in January 1969, is now available as the “Twickenham Studio” edition, following the “Apple Studio” edition! The “Get Back Sessions”, which began on January 2, 1969, initially started at Twickenham Film Studios and continued until January 16. After that, from January 21st to January 31st, they moved to Apple headquarters, where they welcomed Billy Preston on keyboards and continued the recording system with engineer Glyn Johns, and on January 30th, the legendary rooftop concert was held. This “ESSENTIAL TWICKENHAM MASTERS” is a series set that records the first half of the session before the previously released “COMPLETE APPLE MASTERS”, the second half of the session, and is a series set that easily summarizes the vast amount of existing “Get Back Sessions” sound sources. Compared to the full-scale multi-track recording at Apple Studios, Twickenham Studios only has mono sound sources using a Nagra tape recorder for filming, but it is recorded in a real stereo version that has never appeared before using the latest digital analysis. In terms of content, it is compiled into 4 types of 2 CDs, focusing on selected performances, excluding incomplete and fragmented performances, long studio chats, and silent parts. Although Twickenham Studios gives the impression of being a space where rehearsals are the focus, there are many interesting scenes recorded here, including early versions of new original songs, rock ‘n’ roll covers of the band’s favorite songs from their youth, self-covers of Beatles numbers, songs by Bob Dylan and others, and even avant-garde jam sessions.
