Beatles/Shea Stadium Special Edition, the latest digital restoration of the complete Beatles performance at Shea Stadium

The Beatles’ “Shea Stadium” concert, held on August 15, 1965, was the first performance in rock history at a large stadium with over 50,000 attendees. Although there are many audio and video recordings of this historic live performance at the height of their popularity, there has been no official release like the “Hollywood Bowl” until now, and only a limited portion of it was released in theaters in 2016. This “Shea Stadium” is a CD & DVD version of the “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition produced overseas with a virtual concept that assumes an official release that has not yet been realized, and it also includes an additional recording of the first appearance of the 2016 theater release version that is not included in the original. Also included is a CD-ROM disc that contains the complete image data of the virtual concept photo booklet and pamphlet. *The CD includes “New Audio Mix 2022” and “The Movie Version 2016”. Previous concert complete recordings were basically uncensored real live recordings in mono, but “New Audio Mix 2022” is a newly produced stereo remix complete version with the latest digital restoration editing. It has been reborn as a clearly upgraded sound source compared to the original sound source. “The Movie Version 2016” contains the original soundtrack of the movie version of “Shea Stadium”, which was released in theaters in limited quantities at the same time as the 2016 movie “EIGHT DAYS A WEEK ~ THE TOURING YEARS”. Like the previous film version and TV broadcast version, it is a short edit version with a small number of songs and a different song order, but it has been newly edited for the 2016 theater release, and there are differences in the intervals between songs and the ending. Since the theater release at that time, the official release has been awaited, but it has not yet been released as a video work, and here the 2016 version is completely reproduced with the existing remastered sound source. The original “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition produced overseas has not been included in the original “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition, and the first appearance sound source of attention different from the many sound sources that have been circulated so far is additionally included. * The DVD includes the latest original edit “New Film Edition 2022”. Starting with the newly produced original documentary footage, the entire concert is recorded in its entirety. The “bonus video” includes live footage of Billy Joel and Paul McCartney’s last performance at Shea Stadium before its renovation in 2008, and live footage of Paul McCartney’s first performance at the venue, which was reborn as CITI Field in 2009, including a documentary. *The special CD-ROM data disc includes a complete collection of over 106 pages of photo booklet and 1965 US tour pamphlet images from the “GOLDEN SLUMBERS” edition, which was produced overseas with a virtual concept for the official release.
