Description

A center mix of an early stereo recording that has become Lord Reith’s life’s work. Two attempts have been published on the internet so far, but the stunning results have surprised enthusiasts around the world and were enough to be released. The stereo image of the Beatles’ first two albums is completely divided into left and right. Lord Reith’s hard work has transformed it into a natural stereo center mix using today’s latest technology. For that reason, Lord Reith has a lot of passion for the demixing work that changed the stereo image of his first two albums, and it must be worth doing. This summer, a new version was announced for the third time. On the contrary, the past two versions have not lost their value as so-called “different mixes”. Up until now, First Try has placed the vocals in the center, which can be called the basics. From there, in the second version, the rhythm section was moved from the left to the center, but in the third version, the outline of the rhythm section moved to the center was made to stand out more. Indeed, compared to this version, I can’t help but feel that in the previous try, rather than the rhythm section moving to the center, it seemed as if it had become mono and spread throughout the stereo area. On that point, this time the sound of the rhythm section is clearly coming from the center so that you can hear it at first listen. This is exactly the finish Lord Reith was aiming for this time. It’s true that this is an improvement that may be difficult to notice when listening to it through speakers, so I’d like you to listen to it carefully with headphones, but the difference is clearly noticeable when you use headphones. It can be said that this is the culmination of Lord Reith’s center mix, which is becoming more and more complete. In fact, he said, “I think this will be my last try.” In addition, there are two songs in the album “PLEASE PLEASE ME” that only have monaural sound sources, “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You”, but with this try, they were also changed to full stereo versions. Last time, “P.S. I Love You” in particular was finished in left and right stereo, but this time it’s amazing, the stereo feeling is as if it was recorded on a 4-track recorder. This will be the big highlight this time. This version not only features the “PLEASE PLEASE ME” album itself, but also the center mix of the session scene. However, this time we tried again to restore the take of “Baby It’s You” and “Misery” before overdubbing (there was no master tape left). This is also a wonderful finish. What’s more, thanks to the concept of placing the rhythm section in the center, you can clearly see how Paul left out the bass sound at the end of Take 6 of the last song “Do You Want To Know A Secret?” I can hear it. In other words, this time it is also a great value that combines the album itself and the new center mix version of the session on one disc. Therefore, for this release, rather than just making the Lord Reith version into a limited press CD, we have re-edited the session part. The original version included songs that corresponded to the period of the next album, but they were removed and released as “STUDIO SESSIONS 1962-1969 IN SPECTRAL STEREO” instead, but Ringo of “Love Me Do” We have added a drum version and a demixed version of “How Do You Do It” to create a more chronologically faithful document. The Beatles of 1962 have been reborn with a new remix that Lord Reith himself declared as his “last try”! THE BEATLES – PLEASE PLEASE ME STEREO REMIX (REVISED EDITION)(75:26) 01.
