The Capitol Album Masters Edition, a 2-disc set of the American compilation album “Hey Jude” with two versions of the original analog sound source CD and a video album + high-resolution & multi-channel audio DVD, is now available! The Capitol Album Masters: Collector’s Edition reproduces the American Capitol compilation album, which has released albums with unique content different from the UK, by coupling the original analog master sound source CD with a newly edited audio & video album DVD. The CD of this album “Hey Jude” contains two versions: the original sound source of the 1960s record master and the reel tape with a different sound source source. The first half, “ANALOG MASTER”, faithfully reproduces the texture and subtle mix differences unique to analog sound sources, which are different from the remastered CD with a unified sound source. The left and right channel reverse mix of “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “Revolution” and “The Ballad of John and Yoko” are also mixed unique to analog sound sources. The latter half of the album, “REEL TAPE MASTER,” features an AMPEX reel-to-reel sound source. The A and B sides of the record are reversed, starting with “Hey Jude” and “Can’t Buy Me Love” not reversed, and the editing is different from the original record. You can hear the difference in texture unique to tape sound sources by listening to and comparing them. The DVD includes two versions: a video album and an audio album. The video album is a “visual album” that reproduces all the songs on the album in video using promo videos and various video materials, including new edits. The audio album includes high-resolution sound sources and 5.1 surround multi-channel in slideshow format (still images). This is a new audio experience content that allows you to play two versions of high-resolution sound sources that exceed CD quality and three-dimensional multi-channel sound sources by selecting the audio option. The inside of the jacket features interesting rare item photos such as various record designs and the original material of the reel tape. “The Capitol Album Masters: Collector’s Edition” is a 2022 latest edited CD & DVD that thoroughly records sound source variations as a study of the Beatles’ sound source.
