Description

The “Black Album”, which has been known as a masterpiece since the analog era, has been reissued in a crade-up version. First of all, this title is not a needle drop from analog. It is recorded from the master tape, so naturally the sound quality is significantly upgraded than before. As fans know, the content is recorded from the “Get Back Session” in January 1969, and is the best of the long sessions, and together with SWEET APPLE TRAX, it captures the essence of this session. This collection has long been known as a masterpiece. In particular, “The House of the Rising Sun”, which John sings languorously, and “Honey Hush”, which Paul later officially recorded, are also recorded here in John’s vocal version. What’s also interesting is that the energetic hard-arranged version of “Get Back” in which John takes the main vocals has a much faster tempo than the release version, and even though John makes a mistake midway through, Ringo manages to match it and interrupt it. The performance continued. Speaking of “Get Back,” it also includes “No Pakistanis,” whose lyrics caused controversy despite being an unofficial recording, and the session for “Let It Be” is also interesting, with Paul playing the piano and singing each song. There are also scenes where he is giving instructions to the members, and how he is leading the performance while saying chords. Also, “Be Bop A Lula” is a slow performance, with Paul singing in a deliberately low voice, and “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window”, which begins with a German count, is sung playfully by John. Paul, who followed, was also inspired by it and started singing playfully as well. It’s also interesting to see how Paul practices George’s “I Me Mine” over and over again, and “Too Bad About Sorrow” is not Paul’s version, but John’s version. The content is truly the best of getback sessions, and the content that summarizes the highlights from the huge amount of tapes left is a taste worthy of the name of a masterpiece. DISC ONE : 01.
