Along with Yellow Dog and TSP, Vigotone was a label that produced excellent Beatles items in the early days of CDs. However, from 1991 to 1992, when CD bootlegs were at their peak, the same label released two LPs, “NOTHING BUT AGING” and “ARRIVE WITHOUT TRAVELING,” as if going against the times. They include many rare sound sources that are popular among enthusiasts, such as the rough mix of the Beatles that John personally owned, and the first leak of a new sound source that later became famous as John Barrett sound source. It was. However, in terms of sound quality, there are quite a few that are of mediocre quality, and this may have been the reason why they were released as LPs during the heyday of CDs. Still, there are definitely some great things to listen to, including the many valuable sound sources I mentioned earlier, as well as the sound sources from the album session tapes that were first shown in the TV documentary “MAKING OF SGT. PEPPER’S” that aired in 1992. It is true that there were many. Under such circumstances, a CD released from the LP began to appear, and in 1993, Vigotone finally took the plunge and released “ARRIVE WITHOUT AGING”, which was a docking of the two LPs. This was released from the beginning by omitting the Esher demo sound source, which was the content of the “NOTHING BUT AGING” LP, and instead adding extra material such as John’s rough mix of “Run For Your Life”. Back in 1993, it was still full of valuable sound sources, so its release on CD made enthusiasts very happy. However, there were also major problems. The pitch goes up or down depending on the sound source, and except for the part from “MAKING OF SGT. Because of this, even if you had a CD player that could change the pitch, the CD was released in a state that was difficult to listen to, with the sound source having to be lowered instead of higher. This has been a chronic disease since the LP era). Therefore, this time we thoroughly adjusted the pitch of the 1993 version of the Vigotone CD. These two titles had already been released separately on the internet from Remasters Workshop going back to the LP, but even then there were parts where the pitch adjustment was not perfect. For example, the Rishikesh tape that captures the scene of Maharishi enjoying the chorus during his training in 1968, which was the highlight of the “She’s A Woman” and “NOTHING BUT AGING” parts of the BBC session, falls into this category. Therefore, with this adjustment, we were finally able to listen to the entire song at a stable pitch without stress and calmly. Also, unlike the Remasters Workshop version, each sound source is not equalized, so there are some parts where noise is noticeable in some sound sources, but I think it feels more natural and easier to listen to. Nowadays, there are many sound sources whose upper versions have been discovered and the sound quality has been improved, but the nostalgic titles that were released on LP back in those days, the song order and contents of this CD version. I think there are many enthusiasts who feel nostalgic about it. THE BEATLES – ARRIVE WITHOUT AGING (SPEED CORRECTED VERSION) (72:51) 1. Sgt.
