Description

The Beatles Anthology, which chronologically traces the history of The Beatles from their formation to their breakup through rare recordings and live performances, was released in 1995 as a documentary project consisting of video footage, books, and a trilogy of albums. The trilogy of albums mainly features numerous studio outtakes, demo recordings, existing TV broadcasts, and live recordings from concerts, and also includes new songs “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” based on recordings left by John Lennon, which attracted worldwide attention. Three types of 2CDs were released in succession, from VOL.1 to VOL.3, and included previously unknown recordings and unreleased songs, which shocked Beatles collectors at the time and attracted their attention. Over the past 20 years, more and more recording sources have been unearthed, and many recordings, including those that were not included in 1995, have evolved to be closer to the original sound, unedited, and have improved quality. Furthermore, remastering technology has advanced and sound quality has improved. Mono sound sources have also been converted to real stereo using the latest AI sound source analysis, and unprecedented attempts have also evolved. While following the original anthology trilogy, “Complete Works” is basically re-edited based on the best sound source at the moment. It is an expanded revised version that replaces episodes and versions longer than the original. Not only has the content increased significantly compared to the original, but when you compare the sound quality, you can hear the difference in the updated sound quality. As a sound source collection that chronologically traces the history of The Beatles, it covers all the basic rare sound sources and also includes newly excavated sound sources, making it a highly recommended series that can be said to be the latest edited version that is ideal for beginners to collectors. [Contents of Anthology Complete Works 1] CD1 starts with a collage of interview audio and songs as the opening to trace the history of The Beatles, and includes the performance of the Quarrymen at Woolton Church, the oldest existing sound source where John and Paul met. Not only is it longer than the original, but the sound quality is also easier to listen to. The first two songs recorded on record, “That’ll Be the Day” and “In Spite of All Danger”, are now more accurate to the original sound source. The home recordings have not only been significantly expanded, but are now also more accurate to the original sound source. The Decca Audition, which was originally a mono source, has been converted to real stereo and recorded. The sound quality has been improved even more clearly. Also, the Star Club live performance, which was not included on the original, is recorded in stereo. CD2 contains studio outtakes of the debut album “Please Please Me” and the following album “With the Beatles”. Not only have the number of songs increased, but the mono source has been replaced with real stereo. In addition, the BBC source has been converted to stereo, and the sound quality of the demo source has been improved. The famous early live recording from Stockholm Radio in Sweden has also been updated from mono to real stereo. The raw live performance has been reborn as a sound source that is even clearer and more powerful. The content has been significantly expanded to include representative studio outtakes, demos, and live performances. Recorded in the latest upgraded remaster with a new edit using a different sound source from the original! Recorded in the first-ever version in which many mono sound sources have been converted to real stereo using the latest AI sound source analysis! A new edited and revised version that includes additional sound sources discovered since 1995 and sound sources that have not been officially released. <Newly edited, expanded and revised edition of Anthology “Complete Works” Vol. 1> THE BEATLES / ANTHOLOGY : COMPLETE WORKS 1 CD1 1.
