This is a superb stereo soundboard recording of the performance of France’s leading tenor Barnet Wilan at the Jazz Festival held in Chateauvallon, France on November 10, 1978. This is a heated performance by one horn with one of France’s leading piano trios, Jean-Bernard Eyssinge, Roger Luccioni, and Daniel Humair, who have been active since the 1960s. At just 20 years old, Barnet Wilan became famous for his collaboration with Miles Davis in the film “Elevator to the Gallows.” You can enjoy this precious live performance at the Chateauvallon Festival in 1978 with superb sound.
