This release couples audio and video footage from the July 21st Toronto, Canada concert, part of the North American tour following the release of their 1989 debut album, “BADLANDS.” The CD features 76 minutes of audio directly digitized from the original cassette, showcasing a remarkably good audience recording from that era, recently released by a taper. The DVD includes a complete, one-camera pro-shot video leaked by someone involved with the band at the time. While it has an analog feel, it’s a rare and valuable live video. The setlist includes all nine songs from their debut album except “Seasons,” plus the CD bonus track “Ball & Chain” and “Lord Knows,” which later appeared on “DUSK,” along with covers of Flea, Grand Frame Arms Road, and Jimi Hendrix. This set is identical to their six-show Japan tour a month earlier, making it a must-have collector’s edition for fans who remember that era.
