Description

BAD COMPANY capped off the glorious ’70s with their album “DESOLATION ANGELS,” which reached No. 3 on the US charts. This soundboard album will immerse you in the final tour of their golden era. This work was recorded at the August 31, 1979, Landover concert. It’s a stereo soundboard recording. The original BAD COMPANY’s final studio album was “ROUGH DIAMONDS,” but they disbanded shortly after its release. Of course, they later reunited, but their final tour as an active band was in 1979. Let’s start by taking a bird’s-eye view of their memorable career and examining this album’s place in the music scene. February 28th – March 6th: UK (4 shows) {“DESOLATION ANGELS” released on March 7th} March 7th – April 6th: UK (13 shows) ← *Official April 30th – June 7th: North America #1 (26 shows) June 22nd – July 22nd: North America #2 (20 shows) August 31st – September 22nd: North America #3 (7 shows) ← ★Here★ October 15th: Tempe show This is BAD COMPANY in 1979. Speaking of soundboards from that time, the recording in their hometown of London on the official album “LIVE IN CONCERT 1977 & 1979” is famous, but that was “March 9th,” just after the album’s release. In contrast, this work’s Landover performance was the first day of “North America #3,” about six months later. As mentioned above, the “DESOLATION ANGELS Tour” was the last tour of the golden age, and “North America #3” was its final stage. This album is also a live album from the band’s final days, just before their biggest turning point. This album, which captures the stage in your mind, is truly real and raw. It starts off a little loud, but it quickly becomes beautiful after about a minute. Even though it’s still a vintage soundboard, the superbly direct feel is on a different level from the audience, and even when each note spun by the four musicians overlaps, it flows without mixing. The ensemble of their golden age is replayed in your mind, and the sense of synchronization that permeates your entire body is incredible. This synchronized soundboard depicts a full show of BAD COMPANY, whose demise was imminent. Let’s organize the full set, which also features plenty of repertoire that wasn’t performed after the reunion. Desolation Angel (6 songs) Gone, Gone, Gone / Oh, Atlanta / Rhythm Machine (★) / She Brings Me Love (★) / Evil Wind (★) / Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Others (10 songs) Bad Company: Bad Company / Movin’ On / Ready For Love / Can’t Get Enough Straight Shooter: Good Lovin’ Gone Bad / Shooting Star / Feel Like Makin’ Love Others: Simple Man / Run With The Pack / Hey Joe (★) *Note: Songs marked with a “★” are exclusive to 1979. …And so it goes. It’s impressive that six “DESOLATION ANGELS” songs are being generously included in this release, in real time. Three of the songs are rare songs that could only be heard on this tour. Also surprising is “Hey Joe.” This song is a standard that goes without saying, but it wasn’t actually performed by FREE or Paul Rodgers on their solo shows or on “The Hendrix Set,” and it was only performed by Bad Company in 1979. This album allows you to experience this rare cover on soundboard. A month and a half later, Bad Company finished their “Desolation Angels Tour” and disbanded without returning to the road. It would take nearly 20 years for them to regain their former form. This is a rare, complete soundboard album that allows you to experience this final live performance. It’s a stereo soundboard recording of the August 31, 1979, Landover concert. This complete vintage soundboard edition allows you to experience the four musicians’ individual notes flowing seamlessly, even when overlapping. The golden age ensemble is replayed in your mind, and the sense of synchronization permeates your entire being. This is a valuable full live album that also includes “Desolation Angels” numbers and “Hey Joe,” which were not performed after the band’s reorganization.
