Description

This release features different mixes and versions of Average White Band albums, remastered and recorded from studio reel masters. The 1977 release is from “Bennie and Us,” a collaboration with Ben E. King. The 1978 release may be a mistake, as it is from “Shine,” produced by David Foster in 1980. The January 5, 1979 release is from “Feel No Fret.” And the December 10 release is “Volume VIII,” a best-of album with new songs, with four new songs on the A-side. Some start halfway through, and some are cut off, but these recordings from studio masters are extremely valuable. Average White Band1977-1979 Atlantic Studios, NYC disc 1: 40:32 4/5/77 w/ Ben E.
