Arch Enemy/Japan Tour 2018 & more

A 3-disc live DVD collection featuring Arch Enemy’s 2018 Japan tour and recordings up to their 2023 Tokyo performance! This collection brings together performances from various stages of the 2018 Japan tour and the 2023 Tokyo performance, approximately five years later. Enjoy classic songs like “War Eternal,” “Ravenous,” “My Apocalypse,” “Nemesis,” and “We Will Rise” performed at different times, making this a must-see live collection for Arch Enemy fans. Below are the details for each disc. Disc 1: Superb angles that are almost professional-quality, sound without distortion, and high-definition stage footage captured by amazing 4K cameras that make you feel like you’re actually at the venue. As the curtain drops, they unleash “Deceiver, Deceiver” from their latest album. The punkish beat immediately ignites the audience, and countless fists are raised on the floor. Next up is “The World Is Yours,” a representative song from the Alissa White-Gluz (Vo) era. Daniel Erlandsson’s energetic and ferocious drumming, combined with Sharlee D’Angelo’s (Ba) solid foundation, creates an impenetrable ensemble with dynamic twin guitars. Jeff Loomis’s stoic demeanor, not just his playing style, and Michael Amott’s occasional smiles to the audience add to the interesting contrast in their personalities. Alissa, meanwhile, delivers brutal vocals that are just as powerful as the instrumentalists, while also showcasing a captivating stage presence. This is a must-have memorial item for fans, recreating that spectacular performance. All of these performances are recorded in chronological order using various audience videos, including mobile footage. This digest features a selection of high-quality footage from performances across Japan, totaling 2 hours and 57 minutes. The footage is mostly stable, with plenty of close-up shots. While fewer songs are included from regional shows, the February 20th Tokyo performance at Roppongi EX Theater features all 15 songs, representing two-thirds of the total. The live performances, coinciding with the release of their first album in three years, “Will To Power,” primarily feature tracks from that album, as well as songs from “War Eternal” (after Alissa McCartney joined the band), but also include songs from the Johan Liiva era, such as “Fields of Desolation.” The setlist also varied due to consecutive performances in Tokyo, making this a comprehensive digest and memorial item of their 2018 Japan tour.
