Arch Enemy/Germany 08.14.2026 Soundboard Edition & more

Following Alyssa’s departure and the addition of new vocalist Lauren Hart, the band adopted a new lineup for their 2026 Euro tour. This release couples footage of their performance at the “SUMMER BREEZE Open Air 2026” outdoor festival held in Germany on August 14th with official-quality audio and video (Blu-ray). The CD features a master-quality soundboard source further enhanced with the latest digital remastering, while the video is directly transferred to Blu-ray from the webcast broadcast master, with the audio synchronized with the remastered audio from the CD, resulting in a quality far superior to fragmented YouTube videos. With their recent visit to Japan in the spring of the same year still fresh in our memories, the setlist, starting with “Khaos Overture,” then “Yesterday Is Dead and Gone,” and ending with “Fields of Desolation,” is a best-of selection up to the previous year’s release, “Blood Dynasty,” and is almost identical to their Japan performance. However, what truly deserves special mention is the performance of newcomer Lauren. Her stage presence, even more scaled up than when they last visited Japan, pays homage to the iconic style of the Alissa era, but with more aggressive and dynamic shouts and an overwhelming performance endorsed by Angela, raising the bar even higher. And of course, the band ensemble led by Michael Amott, driven by heavy riffs and fluid twin leads, has reached its pinnacle with an impenetrable stability. The melodies, full of Amott’s signature style, flowing beneath the brutal heavy sounds, dramatically resonate into the night sky of the outdoor stage, creating an incredibly moving experience—a must-have collector’s edition for fans.
