Description
The Dan Nelson era ended in a bubble, despite the hopes of a new era with his roaring voice that sounds just like Phil Anselmo. Here is the best video that allows you to witness its true value. This work contains three shocking videos. The main focus is on screen shots from the performance on August 17, 2008 in Dongducheon City (Korea), with bonus front row shots from the performance on February 5, 2009 in New York, and multi-camera professional shots from the performance on June 20 in Bilbao. Speaking of the Nelson era, they also had a one-night performance in Japan, but around that time, John Bush and Joey Belladonna were also in and out of the band, making it a somewhat unclear period. This is a good opportunity to organize the activities at that time. 《December 2007: Dan Nelson joins》2008 May 28-June 22; North America #1 (4 shows) ・August 15-17: Japan & Korea (2 shows) ←★Main of this work★ 2009 February 5: New York performance ←★Bonus of this work★ ・March 7: Colombia performance ・June 13-July 4: Europe #1 (17 shows) ←★Bonus of this work★ ・July 9: Rocklahoma 2009 appearance《Nelson leaves → John Bush returns temporarily》 ・July 30-August 1: Europe #2 (2 shows) ・October 17: Loud Park 2009 appearance ・November 15: Best Buy Opening Event (singer absent) February 20th – March 1st, 2010: Australia (5 shows) {Bush leaves the band → Joey Belladonna returns} This is the journey from Dan Nelson joining the band to Belladonna’s return (which continues to this day). They had been on a reunion tour until 2006, but disbanded in 2007. After a nearly full year hiatus, including planning to have Corey Taylor join, Nelson joined at the end of 2007. From 2008, they started working on their new album “WORSHIP MUSIC” and did some showcase-like gigs, and finally started touring in the summer of 2009. Just when you thought they were finally starting in earnest, Nelson left within a month. They somehow managed to complete the tour with the help of John Bush. During that time, there were only 26 live shows during the Nelson era. It was a very short and fleeting period. The aforementioned Japan tour was one of the very early ones, in August 2008. The Korean performance of this work was the next performance two days later. This work, recorded at such a precious show, is a tremendous screen shot that can only be described as “like a pro shot”. It starts with a circular shot from the back of the venue, but then it zooms in towards the screen on the side of the stage, and when the screen is fully displayed, it does not move from there until the end. The scene that is a completely multi-camera pro shot continues until the end. Moreover, it is the sound that enhances the feeling of a pro shot. It seems to be a microphone recording attached to the camera. The scene is an outdoor special stage with no ceiling or walls that reflect sound. The sound emitted by the PA is picked up with zero echo, and this is also at a level that can only be heard on the sound board. The quality is drawn with Nelson’s vocals, which were said to be “the second coming of Anselmo”, and the full show with a large amount of aggression. Anyway, it’s cool. The songs from the Bush era have become sharper without any discomfort, and the representative songs of the 1980s are manly and intense. It’s not just the powerful shouts, but the tone of his natural voice is dandy, so it sounds heroic. He also covered PANTERA’s “A New Level,” but it’s the reincarnation of Anselmo. He was the most slash metal-like cool of all time. The “pro-shot” screen shots alone are enough to fill me up, but the bonus footage added is also pro-shot. First, the “February 5th New York performance,” which is a surprising front row shot. Nelson is right in front of me, completely looking at the camera pit. Moreover, this show has a story. They appeared at a snowboarding event, but the event itself dragged on, and the original 45-minute time was shortened to just three songs. Moreover, the PA was turned off before the third song, “Bring The Noise,” and the guest Chuck D’s voice was cut off halfway through, which was a disaster. The audience, who had been waiting for ANTHRAX’s performance for six hours (!) in the freezing cold, became angry and started throwing snowballs and ice at the stage. In this work, you can experience such a “full show of only three songs” from the front row. Furthermore, this work closes with the genuine multi-camera pro shot “Antisocial” of the “Bilbao performance on June 20th”. Finally, let’s check out the repertoire that can be enjoyed with three videos. Joey Belladonna era (7 songs) Crazy Slash Infection: Madhouse (★) Among the Living: Indians / Caught In A Mosh / I Am The Law State of Euphoria: Antisocial (★) Persistence of Time: Got The Time Others: Bring The Noise John Bush era (4 songs) Sound of White Noise: Room For One More / Only We Have Come For You All: Safe Home / What Doesn’t Die (★) Others (1 song) A New Level (PANTERA) *Note: “★” marks are songs that are recorded in two takes. This is a video work that allows you to enjoy the “Nelson era” that was scattered after only 26 stages with a professional shot feeling. The true value of the phantom ANTHRAX, which disappeared in a bubble but was actually extremely cool. A superb video work that allows you to enjoy the extremely rare Dan Nelson era. This is a decisive board that mainly includes screenshots of the “August 17, 2008: Dongducheon City (Korea)” performance, as well as the front row shots of the “February 5, 2009 New York performance” and the multi-camera pro shots of the “June 20, 2009 Bilbao performance”. The main screenshots are completely multi-camera pro shots, and the sound without echoes because it is an outdoor festival is soundboard class. This is an “official substitute” that allows you to experience the stage with a large amount of aggression with Nelson’s vocals, which was said to be the second coming of Phil Anselmo.
