Description
Ann Wilson is currently on a solo tour. The superb footage is set to be released. The biggest point of this work is the amazing quality, but let’s start with the basics. Ann Wilson toured as HEART until October last year, but this year she started her solo activities under the title “ANN WILSON OF HEART 2017”. Although there were about 10 solo performances in 2015 and 2016, this is her first serious tour since 1998. First, let’s take a look at the schedule. ・March 8th – April 7th: North America #1 (20 performances) ←★Here★ ・May 23rd – July 3rd: North America #2 (19 performances) ・July 28th + 29th: North America #3 (2 performances) ・August 8th – 25th: North America #4 (9 performances) This is the tour schedule that has been announced so far. I wrote earlier that it was “since 1998”, but the total of 50 performances exceeds that time and will be the most solo tour in her career. The eighth performance, “March 19, 2017 New Orleans Performance,” is included in this work. The quality of this work is probably a professional shot… I’m sorry for saying “probably” all of a sudden. In fact, this video is a multi-camera work created by overseas enthusiasts who poured their souls into it, but the quality is just too amazing. If you play it thinking “It’s a enthusiast production, so it’s probably the audience,” it doesn’t look like that at all. First of all, the image quality and sound quality are abnormal. It’s only natural that it’s super beautiful because it’s made with the latest digital equipment, but even though it combines images from various angles, all of them are super high quality. Both close-ups and distant views are super vivid, and there is no image quality gap between different cuts. What makes it even more professional-looking is the angle. Although there are some viewpoints from the audience seats, most of them are super close-up angles, and some of them can only be thought of as being on the stage or beside the stage, and all of them are stable. When it comes to distant views, a professional camera is moving in front of the stage, and that viewpoint is also used firmly. And the sound is also super high quality sound that can only be thought of as a sound board. There is a possibility that audience material is also used somewhere, but it is safe to think that it is a “professional shot edited by a maniac”. The quality depicts a wonderful solo stage. He sings HAERT’s representative songs and solo numbers such as “Fool No More” and “Anguish”, but the axis of the show is the cover. The lineup is also wide. Not only THE WHO and Aretha Franklin, who also sang in HAERT, but also Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Ray Charles, THE ANIMALS, Jimi Hendrix, BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, YES, Peter Gabriel … even THE BLACK CROWES. It is a little strange that the standard LED ZEPPELIN is not included after doing so far, but in any case, a wide range of rock classics are spun with that beautiful voice. Moreover, the singing is also wonderful. In general, it is a singing voice that is typical of Ann in recent years, but it seems to have become much slimmer, more energetic and rejuvenated. The songs are all well-known covers, and there’s no sense of any of them being tacked on. It’s a masterpiece with great songs, great songs, and super high quality. I don’t know if she’ll leave an official solo video, but even if she doesn’t, this is enough. It’s such a great album.
