Description

A complete sound board recording of the New Year’s Eve performance held at the Cow Palace in San Francisco from December 31st to the new year in 1973. You can fully enjoy the superb sound quality that conveys the gem ensemble vividly and directly from beginning to end. Unfortunately, Midnight Rider fades out, Blue Sky fades in, Les Brers In A Minor (Pt.2) skips at 2:40, Les Brers In A Minor (Pt.3) cuts the second half, 2 There is a skip at :04. The album “Brothers And Sisters” released in the same year was the first to reach number 1 on the Billboard US album chart, and the single cut from it, “Ramblin’ Man”, also became a hit at number 2 on the US pop chart, and quickly became a hit in the United States. This is the period when Duane became one of the most representative national bands (generally speaking, Duane’s works during his lifetime are highly rated, but it was during this period that they were the best sellers), so there is plenty of improvisation throughout. This will continue to unfold for many years to come. I have created a unique sound by incorporating the bright and generous feeling characteristic of country and the avant-garde musicality of jazz (with a faint Latin tinge), but it is extremely simple with one chord and three chords. The many wonderful jams that unfold in the album are truly a masterpiece, and you will listen to it all at once without getting bored of the 280 minutes until the end. The Dead performed at Summer Jam with The Band and the Grateful Dead at the Watkins Glen Circuit on July 28 of the same year (the audience at this time was 600,000 people, as the band was growing in popularity). It’s also great to be able to listen to the harmonious play between the two, Boz Scaggs, and Les Dudek of the Boz Band (who also participated in “Brothers And Sisters”). Les Dudek’s slides are the best! A New Year’s Eve performance that truly concludes the best year for the band. Introducing the ultimate item that packages the most important sound sources from a time when Allman was at its peak in history.
