Description
The greatest live album in rock history, “AT FILLMORE EAST”. All reissues will be silent before this one! We will deliver the highest sound quality with the freshest master tape and the “true Fillmore experience”! Not to mention the Allman Brothers Band’s masterpiece, “AT FILLMORE EAST” is the most glorious historical live album in all of rock history, produced by American rock in the 1970s. Even if you’re not an Allman Brothers Band fanatic, there are probably few people who have only this live album! In fact, because it is such a super masterpiece, it has been reissued in various forms up to the present day, and especially since the 1990s when the CD era began, expanded versions, remixes, and even sets that compile the live performances recorded for this album have been released. Meanwhile, the album itself has been released in high-quality formats on both CD and LP, but because it sold so well that it was reissued so many times, the master tape is inevitably deteriorating. Recent items have overcome this by remixing, but that is also proof of the fact that it is no longer possible to fully reproduce the original mix and sound quality. In that respect, it is the original LP from 1971 that captured the original form and clear sound quality. Of course, in the current analog revival, the original LP of “AT FILLMORE EAST” has become a very popular item, but what is even rarer is the so-called “Promotional DJ Copy” pressed for American radio stations, which were at their peak at the time, before the album was released. In the first place, it is an item that is not for general distribution, and the pressing of the record for general distribution was also produced at an earlier stage, so it is a rare press LP that is highly popular among record enthusiasts and is naturally guaranteed to have good sound quality. In fact, it is extremely difficult to obtain this, and if it is a version in good condition, it is even more difficult…or you could say it is too difficult. Needless to say, the beginning of “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed” and the latter half of the long “You Don’t Love Me” and “Whipping Post” have solo performances by Duane and Dickey, and there are quiet parts without any other accompaniment. It is a very difficult task to play them clearly on a vintage LP. Moreover, what I got this time is not just a “Promotional DJ Copy”! It is a “Promotional DJ Copy” made at the Presswell plant, the main plant of ATLANTIC label, the parent company of CAPRICORN label, which was under contract with the Allman Brothers Band at the time, which sent the freshest master tapes among the various record pressing plants that the company had in the United States! Moreover, the matrix familiar to record enthusiasts, Side 1 to Side 4, are all “C” which is proof that this is the first US edition of this work! In other words, the titles we will deliver this time are based on: 1) US original 2) DJ promo pressings that are pressed even earlier than general distribution 3) Pressed by the Presswell factory, the main plant of the ATLANTIC label, where the master tapes are sent the earliest 4) The matrix on all the discs is “C”, which is proof of the first pressing, so it is an early pressing that has further refined the sound quality even among the US originals with the freshest sound! At this point, it is not just a matter of premium! Based on the LP of such a mega-rare DJ promo disc in the best condition, we carried out a thorough clean transfer this time. Even when listening with headphones at high volume, you can’t hear a single word of the needle sound, which is stunned. Of course, no matter how hard you try, the original vintage LP will have scratch noise, but we have cleanly removed the noise without compromising the sound quality. We guarantee that you can listen to it with peace of mind until the end. And above all, the sound quality is astonishing! The natural clarity and power that truly makes you feel the freshness! This alone is in a completely different dimension from the current CDs. Even the highly acclaimed Mobile Fidelity version is completely useless in front of the fresh sound quality of this release. After all, it cannot compare to the freshness of the first edition matrix DJ promo version, which was quickly pressed at the main plant’s Presswell factory from the master tape in 1971. The difference is so clear that it makes you laugh, even from the opening song “Statesboro Blues,” which many enthusiasts have listened to countless times. Both the clarity and fullness that jump out from the master tape in 1971 come too naturally. Here is a sound quality that cannot be matched by digital remastering technology in the CD era, no matter how hard you try! This is a shocking release that allows you to easily listen to the original sound of the ultimate mega-rare first edition matrix DJ promo LP made at the Presswell plant without noise. This is the true Fillmore! All “AT FILLMORE EAST” will bow down before this!
