Description
Alan Holdsworth’s 1989 Miami, a famous drama that continues to be loved by famous musicians – a soundboard recording of a dream collaboration with Vinny Colaiuta. You can enjoy the outstanding undulations produced by talented drummer Vinny Colaiuta and Alan’s transcendent playing technique. Inspired by his amazing and transcendent drumming, Holdsworth’s unique thrilling guitar solo roared out louder than usual. First of all, from the opening song “Funnels”, the members were drawn in by Kariuta i, which suddenly accelerated, and the band quickly turned into an incendiary improvisation. Furthermore, on “Shallow Sea”, he displayed strange time signatures and strange cymbal work reminiscent of the Zappa era. He also supported the famous song “Looking Glass” with melodious drum work comparable to Tony Williams. In the following “Pud Wud”, check out Holdsworth’s play using a syntax that is rarely used at this time. And the most interesting song, “White Line,” is a pleasure to hear with these members, with Holdsworth’s innovative solo on a clean ensemble, and Johnson playing vigorously with the preamp sound quality unique to Allen Pick. S. Hunt, who has a rare and high appeal with his elegant keyboard solo, and Colaiuta, whose duo with the biggest guitar and drums of the day is filled with a tremendous sense of urgency, is all too intense. Although the fade-out between songs is disappointing, it is a must-listen item that includes a soundboard recording of a very valuable stage.
