Description
Introducing the finest original recording that explodes with Alice’s charm. This work includes the “Oshkosh performance on July 15, 2015”. 2015 was the year that the supergroup HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES was launched with Joe Perry and Johnny Depp. Let’s take a look at the schedule from that time.・February 7th-April 16th: North America #1 (11 shows) ・May 9th-23rd: Oceania (7 shows) ・June 19th-July 4th: Europe #1 (10 shows) ・July 15th-September 6th: North America #2 (36 shows) ←★Here★《September 11th release of “HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES”》 ★September 16th-24th: HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES (3 shows) ・October 5th-22nd: North America #3 (13 shows) ・October 29th-November 18th: Europe #2 (14 shows) ・December 4th-31st: North America #4 (13 shows) That’s a total of 107 shows. It doesn’t really ring a bell in Japan, but this is one of the biggest shows in Alice’s entire career. On top of that, they even launched another project, so you can see how energetic they were. However, HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES’ main activities were in 2016. In 2015, they were mainly solo artists, and this Oshkosh performance was the first day of “North America #2”, just before the launch of HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES. This is a two-disc set with a full live album of the band’s appearance at Oshkosh’s annual outdoor festival “ROCK USA 2015” on disc 1 and the best audience shots on disc 2. [Disc 1: Original full recording] Disc 1 is the main audience album. Although it is an overseas performance, it is an original recording brought to us through our own route. The quality is superb. The fine details are so vivid that they can easily dismiss poor line recordings, and the solid performance and singing voices fly straight in. Since it was an outdoor festival, there was no echo in the venue, and it was probably recorded right next to the PA tower, and the sound is full of openness with edgy shock rock roaring in a spacious space. The show, drawn with that quality, is even more gorgeous than the recent Japanese performance, and is a greatest hits that condenses the glorious history. It is a great pleasure to see the golden numbers of the 70s being generously treated, and the representative songs of each era being scattered in detail. Even in the EMI era, when they made a great comeback, they played not only the classics “Poison” and “Feed My Frankenstein”, but also “House Of Fire” and “Hey Stoopid”, which are full of Desmond Child style, and the hidden masterpiece “Lost In America”. They also performed “Wicked Young Man” from the cyberpunk era, “Dirty Diamonds” from the return to the roots period, and “I’ll Bite Your Face Off” from the masterpiece sequel “WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE”. It has a slightly more twisted feel than the usual greatest hits. Moreover, all of them are full of Alice-style melodies. For long-time fans, there are many years of bars that make you want to slap your knees and say “This was also there!”, and even those who left in the middle will think “I didn’t know there were such good songs.” Although Alice has continued to change on the surface, she has always written “famous songs that are characteristic of her”… it’s a show that only just now comes to realize this. [Disc 2: The best front row shots] This work also includes bonus shots. In fact, it is not a full recording of 9 songs, but it was still recorded because of the fierce quality. The view is in the front row! Of course, there is nothing in front of you, only the fence of the camera pit and the stage, without being distracted by the shadows and chaos in the front row. Also, the position is slightly to the right of the stage, but this is also close to the only female, Nita Strauss. She was a star alongside Alice in her Japan tour, and you can see her beautiful and wild appearance. Alice, captured at such a close-up, is super clear, as if it were one angle of a professional shot. The blood stained white coat is clearly visible down to the last droplet, the dramatic opening scene where the curtain falls, “Feed My Frankenstein” where he gets electrocuted and transforms into a monster, “Billion Dollar Babies” where he shows off his sharp sword skills while scattering stacks of bills, “Ballad Of Dwight Fry / Killer / I Love The Dead” where he kills a sadistic nurse while squeezing out his agonizing vocals and is guillotined… Furthermore, even in a song like “Poison” where there is no gimmick, he takes on a showy action, and the grand finale “School’s Out” where the front five members all gather is terrifyingly cool. Yes, Alice shines as a rock star even without a gimmick. Moreover, there is still no shadow on her appearance. It is a masterpiece video where you can watch such famous scenes from the best seat. Alice in Japan, the first in nine years, was great, but it’s a shame that it only lasted a short time. It was so wonderful that some people asked, “Why isn’t Alice the bird?” If Alice was the bird… This is a two-disc set of a full live album and a shot of the best seats that will give you that experience. This time, her reputation has been re-evaluated in Japan, and this time she will come to Japan for a full show… This is a piece that will soothe and calm your thirst.
