Description

“SPECIAL FORCES TOUR 1981-1982” is the only tour from the “Dark Ages” that even Alice herself despised. The official stereo sound board album is now released. This work includes “Glasgow performance on February 19, 1982”. “SPECIAL FORCES TOUR” is known as the rarest tour in Alice’s entire career, and was also her last world tour before retiring from the music scene. The other day, their exquisite new excavation album “CHICAGO 1981” was very popular, and this week, the definitive multi-camera women’s shot collection “VISION FORCES ’80-82 (Shades)” will also be released. First, let’s check the show’s position from the schedule. ●1981/June 20th-August 30th: North America #1 (32 performances)《SPECIAL FORCES’ released in September》/September 23rd-November 28th: North America #2 (19 performances)●1982 January 26th – February 9th: France/Spain (12 performances) January 26th – February 19th: UK (8 performances) ←★Coco★ February 27th: France performance 《August “ZIPPER CATCHES SKIN” released》●1983 《“DaDa” released in September》 This is Alice’s 1981-1983. There was no tour for “ZIPPER CATCHES SKIN” and “DaDa”, and Alice became semi-retired until “CONSTRICTOR” with Kane Roberts. Among such “SPECIAL FORCES TOUR”, the Glasgow performance of this work is the final stage. It was the last day of the “UK” tour, and the second concert in which he entered semi-retirement. It is also valuable in another sense. In fact, Alice’s main battlefield is her home country of America. Even in their heyday, their European tours were very small, with only 1-3 shows in the UK at most. However, this time they toured the island country with 8 performances. It was Alice’s first full-fledged UK tour, and this work was its highlight show. Such a show was recorded on a soundboard, used for the official single “For Britain Only”, and broadcast on the radio. It has reigned as a classic symbol of “SPECIAL FORCES TOUR”. For that reason, it has produced a number of previous releases, but this work is considered to be the best among them. It is a superb stereo sound board that can be called “official grade” without hesitation. However, there is only one difficulty. In fact, this work is a master produced by overseas enthusiasts, and is combined from three masters including the official single. Although it is clear that the best master of each song was aimed at the highest peak, the taste of the sound changes (slightly) by switching. Of course, the sound quality is top-notch as they are put together with great care. Therefore, it was introduced to support the three masterpieces of the early 80’s, “CHICAGO 1981”, “VISION FORCES ’80-82” and “EL PASO 1980: PRE-BROADCAST MASTER”. The extremely rare era depicted with such official quality sound is already the best. “VISION FORCES ‘80-82” also includes multi-camera professional shots of the Passaic performance, but this work is overwhelmingly superior in terms of audio. The vivid stereo effect and beautiful mix are overwhelming. Moreover, the set is also super cool. There are a lot of rare songs such as “FLUSH THE FASHION” and “SPECIAL FORCES,” but the especially treasured songs are “Model Citizen” and “Vicious Rumors,” which were not in the pro shot of the Passaic performance. The latter only appears briefly at the end of the “School’s Out” jam, but it is unknown that this song was ever performed on stage (although there was a performance scene on the French cult program “A PARIS”) That one is mime). It is a live album where you can enjoy such a rare show on an official soundboard. And the enthusiastic performance is also wonderful. As I touched on in the commentary for “CHICAGO 1981,” the “dark ages” are just about album and single sales. The rejuvenated ensemble is really sharp, and it can only be used at the end of the tour. Moreover, this work is a highlight of the UK where we did a full-scale tour for the first time. The enthusiasm is so great that it was made a UK-only single. Even though it is a “dark age”, the show is approaching its heyday. After this show, Alice performed once in France and disappeared from the road for four years. The revival drama of the RCA era, the big hit of the EPIC era, and the subsequent imperial behavior are well known, but this work is the final stage of the golden WARNER era. It is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the truth of the “Dark Ages” with the finest official soundboard. Apollo Theatre, Glasgow, UK 19th February 1982 STEREO SBD (72:17) 1.
