Description
The “HEY STOOPID Tour” was the final culmination of the “Metallic Alice Era” that built the second golden age. A luxurious set that allows you to experience the precious scene at its finest is now available. This work contains two performances in Scandinavia. This is a three-disc audience set with a full live album of the “Lund performance on November 3, 1991” on DISC 1-2 and the climax video of the “Oslo performance on November 1” on DISC 3. The “HEY STOOPID Tour” is known as a hidden place with few recordings and videos, but at the same time it was a big turning point for Emperor Alice. To explain its meaning, let’s first look back at the schedule at that time. 1991: July 2nd release of “HEY STOOPID” July 5th – September 13th: North America (40 shows) ←※LIVE FROM ELECTRIC LADYLAND 1991: September 28th – November 9th: Europe (32 shows) ←★Click here★ 1994: July 12th release of “THE LAST TEMPTATION” 1995: September 2nd – 9th: South America (4 shows) This is the journey of the five years since the release of “HEY STOOPID”. The tour was originally scheduled to continue until 1992, but was interrupted by the recession caused by the Gulf War. They entered a period of silence. After three full years of inactivity, Alice released “THE LAST TEMPTATION” in 1994, but still no tour. As a result, it took four years for the emperor to stand on stage again. And so “HEY STOOPID” became the last masterpiece of the golden age. Some fans have said that the album is Alice’s masterpiece that brought back her poison, but when it comes to touring, it is a hidden area where there are no professional shots or full soundboards. In particular, the “European” leg has been touring alone, so it has been attracting a lot of attention from enthusiasts, and the masterpiece “GOTHENBURG 1991” is already popular in our shop. Since the dates of this work are close, let’s zoom in on the “European” leg and check each other’s positions in detail.・September 28-October 10: UK (10 performances) ・October 12-29: Central Europe (15 performances) ・November 1: Oslo performance ←★DISC 3★ ・November 2: Copenhagen performance ・November 3: Lund performance ←★DISC 1-2★ ・November 5-8: Northern Europe (3 performances) ・November 9: Gothenburg performance ←※GOTHENBURG 1991 This is the total of 32 performances of the “European” leg. The flow is UK (10 performances) → Central Europe (15 performances) → Northern Europe (7 performances), and the two performances of this work were the first and third concerts in Northern Europe. Now, let’s introduce each one individually. [DISC 1-2: The latest excavated superb full live album] First of all, it is a full audience recording of the Lund performance, which is the main performance of this work. This is the latest master that has recently appeared and collectors all over the world are excited. What is the topic of discussion is its sound quality. It is a superb sound that is beautiful, neat, and extremely thick. It is the work of a recording artist called “Crazy Tapes”, who was also a topic of discussion recently in DEF LEPPARD’s “STOCKHOLM 1993”. This work is also the Alice edition. For those who have not experienced the DEF LEPPARD edition, it is something like “beautiful as the prestigious Kinney recording, on like a sound board”. While it has a fine sound, the core is so dense that there is no sense of distance at all. “GOTHENBURG 1991” was also a masterpiece, but this work is an even denser direct sound. Speaking of the representative sound board of this tour, it is “LIVE FROM ELECTRIC LADYLAND 1991” at our shop, but that one is just under an hour. In contrast, this work allows you to experience a full show of about 83 minutes at its best. It is truly a full live album that is an “official substitute”. [DISC 3: Spectacular footage that lets you fully experience a precious tour] Next up is a spectacular audience shot from the Oslo performance. The recording of the “HEY STOOPID Tour” is valuable, but the footage is even more important. The skeleton set that embraces the entire stage is exclusive to this tour, and the numerous gimmicks are still a privilege only for the footage. And this work is the best footage to fully experience such a stage. The best thing about it is the spectacular view. It is captured slightly looking down from the second floor seats on the right side of the stage, but there are no obstructions throughout the entire film. Only the precious stage occupies the field of view. Moreover, the camera work is exquisite. Alice is placed in the very center of the screen, while the surrounding area is firmly held down. The action of Alice’s show is not as good as the zoom name, but the set design that shows the interaction of the cast and the individuality of the tour is also important. This footage perfectly captures the world of the “HEY STOOPID Tour”. You can enjoy “Feed My Frankenstein,” in which a female fan is captured and modified, and “Wind-Up Toy,” in which Alice sings sadly in a cage. So, what kind of set list will make up the “HEY STOOPID Tour”? The two shows are slightly different, so let’s organize them together. 70’s Classics (9 songs) Billion Dollar Babies: No More Mr. Nice Guy/Billion Dollar Babies/Sick Things/Elected/Other: I’m Eighteen/Under My Wheels/Go To Hell (*)/School’s Out/Cold Ethyl 80’s/90’s (7 songs) Hey Stoopid: Love’s A Loaded Gun/Feed My Frankenstein/Snakebite/Hey Stoopid/Other: He’s Back (The Man Behind The Mask) (★)/Trash/Bed Of Nails/Poison Medley (2 types) I Love The Dead-Devil’s Food-Steven-Black Widow Jam/Only Women Bleed-Wind-Up Toy-Ballad Of Dwight Fry *Note: Songs marked with “★” are only from the Lund performance (DISC 1-2), and songs marked with “*” are only from the Oslo performance (DISC 3). The “HEY STOOPID Tour” was hidden in the shadows of “THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS” and “TRASHES THE WORLD”, and it was difficult to even get a glimpse of the actual scene. This is a luxurious set that allows you to enjoy the full show for two performances with the best sound and spectacular views. This is a three-disc audience set with the full recording of the final destination of the second golden age, “Lund performance on November 3, 1991” on DISC 1-2, and the climax video of the “Oslo performance on November 1” on DISC 3. The main Lund recording is a superb master that has recently appeared, and the sound is neat and fine while the thick core roars directly on. This is a live album that can be the “official substitute” of the “HEY STOOPID Tour” where there is no full soundboard. The Oslo video is also a spectacular video where you can witness precious sets and gimmicks with zero obstructions. This is the definitive edition that allows you to experience the full show that is the culmination of the metal era. Olympen, Lund, Sweden 3rd November 1991 ULTIMATE SOUND Disc 1(41:37) 1.
