Description

ALCATRAZZ discovered the genius Steve Vai and returned to Japan in the fall of 1984. The world’s first original recording that conveys the scene is now available. This work was recorded on “October 11, 1984: Nakano Sun Plaza Performance”. This is a masterpiece audience recording. Speaking of the return visit to Japan with Vai, the official video “POWER LIVE” reigns as a symbol, but of course this work is a separate performance. First, let’s look back at the dates back then and organize them along with our store’s collection.・October 3rd: Nagoya Labor Hall ・October 4th “NEW PRISONER: AMAGASAKI 1984” ・October 8th: Shibuya Public Hall ・October 10th “POWER LIVE (Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall)” ・October 11th: Nakano Sunplaza ←★This work★ Total of 5 performances. In addition to “POWER LIVE,” which is a reprint of the official video in the highest quality, our store also has a lineup of “NEW PRISONER.” We have archived Vai’s memorable first visit to Japan. The Nakano Sunplaza performance of this work is the final day of the Japan tour, which is different from either of those. This work itself is not only the world’s first release, but it is a shocking live album that allows you to fully experience a show that has never been recorded before. Its preciousness alone is enough to make you dizzy, but the quality is even more amazing. It is an original master handed down by the recording artist himself, but this person is a master among masters who has worked on numerous press titles. This is a collection of hidden treasures. And this work is a super clear gem that further enhances its reputation. It is recorded from the vivid conversation voice before the performance, and it is definitely an audience recording where you can feel the space in the snare tone. However, its clarity is so amazing that it will blow away even the most popular soundboards! Anyway, the powerful core reaches your ears, and the outline is crisp down to the smallest details. The clarity is so eye-opening that when you close your eyes, you can imagine blue laser beams dancing wildly in your mind. This does not mean that the actual light show will float. I can’t think of anything else to compare the brightness of the image, which shines so straight through and doesn’t allow even the slightest blur, other than a laser beam. As a matter of fact, the trend of the sound changes between the first half and the second half of the show, and the second half is slightly over-peaked. For that reason, it could not be made into a permanent preservation press, but the first half is a tremendous recording that could even surpass the sound board of the official video…no, it is a clear recording. What is depicted with such a sparkling sound is a full show in which Vai’s other-dimensional guitar dances wildly. Actually, the set may be the same as “POWER LIVE”, but this is a good opportunity to sort it out. ALCATRAZZ number (5 songs + 7 songs)・NO PAROLE FROM ROCK ‘N’ ROLL: Jet to Jet/Hiroshima Mon Amour/Kree Nakoorie/Suffer Me/Too Young to Die, Too Drunk to Live・DISTURBING THE PEACE: Breaking the Heart of the City/Skyfire/Sons and Lovers/God Blessed Video/Will You Be Home Tonight/Painted Lover/Stripper Others (4 songs)・DOWN TO EARTH: Since You Been Gone/All Night Long・Others: Kojo no Tsuki/Night Games… And it looks like this. Seven songs from “DISTURBING THE PEACE”, which had not yet been released, will be played on a large scale, but the interesting one is probably the “NO PAROLE FROM ROCK ‘N’ ROLL” number, which has been changed in the Vai style. I don’t know if he has ever seen “METALLIC LIVE ’84,” but I think he probably hasn’t. The passages are fresh and changed with tapping techniques that make you think Yngwie didn’t know how to play. Of course, many of the feats could be enjoyed in the official video, but this work focuses on the guitar rather than that sound board, and the clarity is on par with the sound board. You can enjoy it even more vividly than the official version. And Graham, who does not take a step back in front of such a genius Vi, shows off his strong throat. As I thought in “POWER LIVE”, if Yngwie had sung this much even on his first visit to Japan… The singing of this work is so amazing that it brings back even the regret of such an unrelated work. ALCATRAZZ from the “DISTURBING THE PEACE” era, where the transcendental guitar that differs from the stylistic beauty brought out a new charm of Graham, and Vai’s super individuality exploded, but it was far easier to listen to and catchier than the solo. This is a masterpiece of a live album that allows you to experience that charm more aggressively than the studio work and more vividly than the official video. The last day in Japan, which I had never been able to listen to before. Live at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan 11th October 1984 PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (58:19) 1. Intro. 2.
