Description
The world’s first soundboard sound source is here again! Completely unreleased studio session tracks from “ROCKS”, Aerosmith’s biggest hit and masterpiece album of the 1970s. The content is a session of eight songs from the album except for Sick As A Dog, performed by the band without Steven Tyler’s vocals. Moreover, the sound quality is official stereo soundboard, so it’s a surprise! It’s a rough performance in a good sense, just one step before the completion of the songs (there are no guitar solos except for Home Tonight), and all the songs are played from the intro to the end (with some fade-outs), and can be enjoyed as a rough mix version without vocals. Of course, there is no overdubbing like in the official final version, so it’s just the band sound itself with that taste. This is just irresistible. You can hear a little conversation between songs and the voice count before the start. Let’s listen to each song. 1. Nobody’s Fault The intro is omitted and the performance starts from the vocal part. There are differences from the official version in the timing of the obbligato and break, but the song itself is complete. The biggest highlight is the guitar solo/fade-out in the official version, but in this take you can hear the original ending arrangement. 2. Rats In The Cellar First, be moved by the count in the intro. The performance itself is complete, but the point to note is that the second verse is played two riffs longer. In addition, the ending before the break is long, and the ending after the break is also recorded for about 30 seconds. 3. Home Tonight Be amazed by the opening count, which is twice as long as the official version. And the biggest highlight is the different version of the guitar solo! Furthermore, the guitar solo is not recorded, but the ending is long. 4. Last Child The length of the A melody and the development before the guitar solo are recorded, and the arrangement is very different. Furthermore, while the fade-out is the same, the ending is recorded in a long length. 5. Back In The Saddle First, be moved by the count in the intro and the conversation. The four-piece band plays a tight performance that is quite different from the official version with various overdubs. Among the demo tracks with many long versions, this track also has a short ending, and it is a track that lets you imagine the process of the official track being completed by adding various gimmicks and arrangements based on this basic version. 6. Combination The arrangement is the same, but the ending is about 30 seconds longer. 7. Get The Lead Out First of all, the length of the intro riff is different. Then, you can listen to the arrangement with a long A-melody, the ending is short, but the number of riffs before the development is different. 8. Lick And A Promise Includes a drum intro that is not faded in. The ending is long and faded out, but the riff of Train Kept A Rollin’ is not included at this stage. …Though the main arrangement was completed, this was a rough and raw studio performance by the four members who were still in the process of refining the details. This is a very important take in the history of the band, and it is sure to be the best hard rock bootleg of the year.
