Description

Ace Frehley has embarked on his first solo tour in two years, coupling with Alice Cooper. Here is a superb video that lets you experience the latest stage from the ultimate special seat. This work was filmed at the Tupelo performance on October 22, 2021. This is a superb audience shot. As you may have already noticed, this is a continuous video shot by the same person as the Alice Cooper edition “TUPELO 2021”, which will be released at the same time. If you have read the explanation of the Alice edition, you will have already decided on “this work is the Ace edition”. For those who have not yet, this work is at the level of “I don’t remember such amazing footage”. This does not mean the footage of Ace, but rather the overall story of all bands / musicians. Before the quality of the work, let’s start with the position of the show. It is a rare opportunity to introduce Ace’s solo activities, so let’s start with his recent situation.・September 18th-October 22nd: North America #1 (25 performances) ←★Here★・November 12th + 13th: North America #2 (2 performances)This is the schedule that has been released so far. It’s so simple that I wonder if it’s necessary to put it together, but the Tupelo performance of this work is the last day of “North America #1” which restarted from the COVID-19 disaster. Alice had one festival appearance after this, but Ace’s performance is until the Tupelo performance. Instead (?) Two more solo performances are scheduled in November. What’s amazing about this work recorded at such a show is the position. It’s “the very center of the front row”. It’s not “near the center”. When the camera faces directly ahead, Ace’s microphone stand and drum kit are lined up in a straight line, so it’s the very center as if it was measured with a ruler. Since it’s the front row, the sense of distance is the same as the camera pit, and there’s no way there’s a shadow of the front row. Rather than watching a live performance, it feels like you’re auditioning Ace. If the Alice episode didn’t come out at the same time, I would think, “Is this a shot of someone involved?!” And the camera work is also unique. Ace is captured in the center of the screen and doesn’t let go, but at the same time, he doesn’t zoom in. Of course, if you zoom in from the front seats with the latest equipment, you’ll be able to see every single one of his nose hairs, but instead, he keeps Ace’s whole body captured at a distance. As I mentioned in the Alice episode commentary, this also creates an exquisite “experience”. Some people may watch with binoculars in the second floor stands, but in the front seats, the members are right in front of you. There’s no need to zoom in, and you can see everything you want to see up close. In this work, the distance of the front seats doesn’t move at all, so you can enjoy the full experience of a super special seat (however, since Ace is the type who sings in a fixed position, it’s not as impressive as the Alice episode…). What you can witness from such an ultimate special seat is a full show that is condensed with KISS’s famous songs + α. Let’s organize the contents here. 70’s KISS: Strutter/Cold Gin/Black Diamond/Deuce HOTTER THAN HELL: Parasite DESTROYER: Detroit Rock City LOVE GUN: Shock Me ALIVE II: Rocket Ride ACE FREHLEY: Rip It Out/New York Groove Others: Never In My Life (MOUNTAIN)/Good Times Bad Times (LED ZEPPELIN) … and so on. The album features a lineup of classic songs from KISS and his first solo album, as well as covers of ZEP and MOUNTAIN, which were also included in ORIGINS VOL. 2 released last year. While “Rocket Ride,” which is not available in the original KISS album, declares his solo style, all the songs are familiar masterpieces. Although he is only a guest of Alice, he runs through his approximately one hour time with great intensity. Although it was omitted above, the guitar solo is of course a highlight, and he plays it hard while blowing smoke out of his guitar. The MC before that was a little funny. Ace changes guitars while talking, but when he hits the guitar, smoke comes out of the air. The whole venue is filled with laughter at the joke that looks like a happening, but such a heartwarming scene unfolds right in front of you. “The center of the front row” is the ultimate special seat that everyone wants to experience once. This work is a piece that allows you to fully experience Ace’s solo stage from there. This work itself is a masterpiece of a video that allows you to enjoy a mass of masterpieces with a superb view, but if you combine it with the Alice Cooper edition, it will also be a complete form of a superb audience shot. A superb view audience shot of the “Tupelo performance on October 22, 2021”. The sense of distance taken from “the center of the front row” is the same as the camera pit, and there is no way that the shadow of the front row can be included. You can enjoy the full show as if you were auditioning face-to-face with Ace. The set includes carefully selected songs from KISS and his first solo album, as well as covers of LED ZEPPPELIN and MOUNTAIN. While “Rocket Ride,” which is not available in the original KISS album, declares his solo style, all the songs are familiar masterpieces. This is a video masterpiece that allows you to experience a rich full show from a super-special seat, including a solo time where he plays while blowing smoke from his guitar.
