Description

AC/DC in 1985 was controversial for their ambitious work “FLY ON THE WALL” that boldly incorporated the sound of the 80s. A new excavation master recorded such a precious scene by a legendary master is here. This work is recorded in “November 21, 1985 Uniondale performance”. It is a newly excavated audience recording. Speaking of AC/DC in 1985, it is a time when they not only asked the world about “FLY ON THE WALL”, but also remembered for appearing at the historic event “1st ROCK IN RIO”. In order to understand the situation around there, let’s first look back at the schedule at that time and check the position of the show. 1985, January 15th + 19th: South America ←※ROCK IN RIO {June 28th “FLY ON THE WALL” released} ・September 4th – November 24th: North America #1 (58 shows) ←★HERE★ 1986, January 13th – February 27th: Europe (28 shows) {May 24th “WHO MADE WHO” released} ・July 31st – September 20th: North America #2 (42 shows) This is AC/DC in 1985/1986. It was a time when the three tours “FLICK OF THE SWITCH Tour”, “FLY ON THE WALL Tour” and “WHO MADE WHO Tour” intersected, and the appearance at ROCK IN RIO was the last of the “FLICK OF THE SWITCH Tour” before the release of “FLY ON THE WALL”. In contrast, this album was released after the Uniondale performance album was released. This was the 56th concert at the end of “North America #1”. This work, which was vacuum-packed from such a scene, is a valuable new excavation audience. What is most surprising is the taper that recorded this work. It has been digitized directly from the original cassette of the famous Joe Maloney. Speaking of Mr. Maloney, he is a master who has been branded alongside Mike Millard and Dan Lambinski. However, his collection is famous for 70’s artists such as the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and PINK FLOYD, and he didn’t have much of an image of HR/HM. I never thought he would record AC/DC in the mid-80’s… The prestigious “Krw_co” has made the latest transfer of the master, whose existence itself is a hot topic. The sound is as sharp as a laser beam. In fact, the distance is undeniable, and it is difficult to call it the best masterpiece of the Maloney collection because he is not used to HR/HM, but the vividness of the core that penetrates the atmosphere is a master. The performance sounds and singing voices that reach straight ahead do not give up the lead role in the slightest, and it is so clear that it is hard to imagine that it is a venue swirling with huge enthusiasm. However, perhaps because the sharp sound is absorbed too obediently, the high notes have become quirky. In this work, such net original sounds are carefully mastered. The razor vocals of Brian Johnson at his peak are also easy to hear. What flows out from such an impact master is the full show of 1985, when he reigned as a heavyweight in the scene. The set is also a standard for the “FLY ON THE WALL Tour”, but it is a good opportunity to organize it here. Bon Scott era (8 songs)・High Voltage: The Jack/T.N.T.・Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap/Jailbreak・Whole Lotta Rosie/Let There Be Rock・Power Age: Sin City・Highway to Hell Brian Johnson era (8 songs)・Back in Black: Back in Black/You Shook Me All Night Long (★)/Shoot to Thrill/Hells Bells・For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)・Fly on the Wall: Fly on the Wall (★)/Shake Your Foundations (★)/Sink the Pink (★) *Note: The “★” mark indicates songs that were not heard at ROCK IN RIO. …And so on. Among the lineup of classic songs, the best are the new songs on “FLY ON THE WALL”. The songs on this album were only played up until 1986 and have never been played since then. Opening with “Fly On The Wall”, Brian’s sharp and aggressive singing voice and Angus’s momentum bring a fierce scent of the 80s. “AC/DC by a master of the 70s”… This alone is a treasure of the collector’s world that is likely to make you dizzy. I thought that general masters hated HR/HM, but this week even Yngwie Malmsteen’s “Shades 1506” appeared. If the excavations continue at this rate… New excavations that fill my head with such delusions. Newly excavated audience recording of “Uniondale performance on November 21, 1985”. This is a masterpiece among masterpieces that was digitized from the original cassette of legendary 70s master Joe Maloney. With a sound as sharp as a laser beam, the vividness of the core that penetrates the atmosphere is as expected from a master. It is a great recording that does not give up the leading role to the performance sound that is so clear that it is hard to believe that it is a venue swirling with huge enthusiasm. “FLY ON THE WALL” only for this tour is a shocking new excavation album that allows you to experience a delicious full show on site.
