Description

A sound board collection from the Bon Scott era, where the discovery of the most shocking updated masters continues. This week, the latest “POWERAGE Tour” edition will be released with two titles at the same time! This work is the second part of such two consecutive releases. This is a stereo soundboard recording of “August 21, 1978 Boston Performance”. The same 1978 masterpiece “COLUMBUS 1978 SOUNDBOARD” was released, and “NASHVILLE 1978 SOUNDBOARD” was released at the same time. In order to organize the collection, let’s first take a look at the overview of the activities at the time. “Power Age” completed in March – April 26th – May 4th: UK #1a (7 performances) ← *Guitar Murder Case “Power Age” released on May 5th – May 5th – June 8th: UK #1b (22 performances) – June 24th – October 3rd : North America (67 performances) ←★Coco★《“Guitar Murder” released on October 13th》 October 10th to October 27th: Europe (15 performances) October 28th to November 16th: UK #2 (17 performances) This is AC/DC in 1978. We completed “Power Age” in March, and after its release, we rushed through the UK, and from summer we headed to North America for a long tour of 67 performances. It was a truly tumultuous year, with even “The Guitar Murder Case” released to the world before the end of the year. This week’s two series are both records from the main leg of the series, “North America.” Let’s expand the schedule further and check the positional relationship of each. Details of the “North America” leg・June 24th to August 5th (27 performances) *August 8th “NASHVILLE 1978 SOUNDBOARD”・August 9th to 19th (7 performances) *August 21st: Boston performance ←★Here★・August 22nd – September 9th (15 performances) *September 10th “COLUMBUS 1978” SOUNDBOARD” – September 12th – October 3rd (15 performances) A rushing soundboard captured by local station WBCN The show was carried on the airwaves by Boston’s local station WBCN. It is a classic FM sound board that has been popular for a long time, but this work is a masterpiece that was made into a CD from the best master recently released by overseas core enthusiasts. The sound is wonderfully typical of FM broadcasting, with both rawness and forcefulness. It is a type similar to “COLUMBUS 1978 SOUNDBOARD”, and the attack is strong, and the guitar and drums are particularly striking. The rhythm and lead are clearly separated, yet the intertwined riffs are just so cool, and each hit of the bass drum and tom is engraved in your soul. Moreover, even though it comes out so strongly, it doesn’t feel like it’s hurting your ears at all. Still, it gives off a strong sense of aggression. It is a sound board that should be called a rush type. And what is pushing this charge forward from behind is the enthusiasm of the venue. Every time between songs, cheers erupt, exchanging enthusiasm with the stage. It’s filled with the usual AC/DC atmosphere. This is an FM album with a passionate stage performance right between the songs. This work also records the before and after of the show as it was broadcast on WBCN. In addition, there is an interview with Bon Scott before the encore, so you can relive the entire broadcast at that time. Of course, the important thing is the live performance itself. It is longer and has a more delicious repertoire than the simultaneously released “NASHVILLE 1978 SOUNDBOARD”. Let’s organize the contents here. Rock Spirit (3 songs)・Problem Child/Bad Boy Boogie/Dog Eat Dog (*) Others (3 songs + 3 songs)・High Voltage: Live Wire (*)/The Jack/High Voltage (★)・Others: Sin City (*)/Gone Shootin’ (*)/Rocker *Note: Songs marked with “★” are not available on the masterpiece “NASHVILLE 1978 SOUNDBOARD.” Songs marked with an asterisk (*) are not included in the traditional version of “Guitar Murder Case.” …and it looks like this. There is “High Voltage” which is not included in the simultaneously released “NASHVILLE 1978 SOUNDBOARD”, but even more delicious are “Live Wire”, “Sin City”, “Gone Shootin'” and “Dog Eat Dog” which did not fit into “Guitar Murder Case”. Of course, it follows the broadcast time of about 62 minutes, but there is no sense of cutting even while waiting for the encore, and the famous songs that are unique to the “POWERAGE Tour” are screwed into the brain. While “NASHVILLE 1978 SOUNDBOARD” charms you with its sound appearance, this work surpasses it with its length and heat. This is a double series of soundboards that let you experience the scorching “North American” leg with different personalities. The latest edition of the permanent preservation CD series with the highest updated master of “After” of “Guitar Murder Case”. Stereo soundboard recording of “August 21, 1978 Boston Performance”. A CD version of the best masters recently released by overseas core enthusiasts on the standard FM soundboard by Boston’s local station WBCN. The sound is typical of FM broadcasting, with both rawness and force, and the powerful attack is amazing. The way the guitar stands out and the drums are vivid, the riffs that intertwine while separating the rhythm and lead are cool, and it’s a rushing soundboard that leaves each hit of the bass drum and toms etched in your soul.
