Description
From the 1989 UK tour, the second day of the Edinburgh performance on October 22nd was recorded for 2 hours and 21 minutes with an ultra-high quality stereo soundboard recording. It is recorded with a clearer sound than the previous release, the freshness of the sound is outstanding, and you can see that it was copied from a place closer to the master. The first half of the show is also ultra clear and has great sound quality, but the second half of the show is recorded with even more amazing sound, and on disc 2, where the sound pressure is recorded at the highest level, every song is recorded with the best sound ever. It was recorded from the opening SE, and the localization is much more stable, but there is a slight hiss in the quiet parts of the first half. There are several soundboard recording takes of ABWH, including the official video, but there is no line recording full of direct sound with such a vivid texture, so it is definitely a must-listen for fans. Bruford and Levin’s rhythm section is recorded in ultra clear, and the vocals, guitar, keyboard, and even the sound effects and chorus effects that can be heard in various places are recorded with an uncanny realism. It’s a feature. Bruford’s synth drum solo is recorded in a wonderful stereo line recording, and you can enjoy a spectacular performance. Birthright is recorded with the highest sound quality, so you can enjoy the peak of the first half. And You And I fades out at the 6th minute of the second half of the song, the following I’ve Seen All Good People is recorded from the on-beat part without the intro, and Close To The Edge also fades in from around the break chorus in the first half. The sound quality is top-class stereo line recording, and all songs are highly enjoyable to listen to. Disc 2 is recorded with great sound pressure from the opening theme, overwhelming the listener. The sound is really good everywhere, but it’s amazing that the bass in the first half of Heart Of The Sunrise is so turned on, and you can experience an unprecedented sound image. Order Of The Universe’s shocking power and good sound are something you won’t understand unless you experience it. I think there has never been a take in which Levin’s bass was recorded so clearly in this song. The standard songs Roundabout and Starship Trooper are also really amazing. A perfect stereo line recording title that can be said to be ideal for enjoying ABWH with its unique color sense and ensemble. This is a must-listen album for fans who can easily understand what ABWH was about, the one and only project that excited Yes fans around the world 20 years ago. This is really amazing! !
