Description

Morten Harket, Paul Waaktaar Savoy, Magne Furuhornen, the handsome Norwegian guys made their debut in the UK in 1983, Take On Me was a big hit, The Sun Always Shines on T.V. was also number one, and their second album Scoundrel Days was released in 1986, I’ve Been Losing You and Cry Wolf were big hits in Europe, and this is probably a complete live recording from a time when they were really on the rise. There are loud cheers, so I think it’s an audience recording, but the performance and vocals are in the foreground, so it might be a soundboard recording. It’s very immersive and has good sound quality. Even if you think this group can actually perform, or that they’re just a group of idols, you’ll understand how good they are by listening to this performance. There is no improvisation, but the chorus work, sound, and live performance are perfect. There are some sound cuts in Living A Boy’s Adventure Tale and other songs. Hammersmith Odeon, UK 1986-12-16 1.train of thought 2.love is reason 3.living a boy’s adventure tale 4.cry wolf 5.the blue sky 6.the sun always shines on tv 7.dfrfitwood 8.here i stand and face the rain. 9.we’re looking for the whales 10.and you tell me 11.hunting high and low 12.i’ve been losing you 13.scoundrel days 14.take on me
