Journey/Tokyo,Japan 09.01.2026 Complete IEM Matrix Edition & more

This edition features a full recording of the final show in Japan from the 2026 “FINAL FRONTIER Tour,” specifically the September 1st performance at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, captured in multi-stereo IEM matrix audio. It also includes a DVD with high-quality audience footage of the day. The multi-IEM matrix mix combines the stereo IEM sources used by each member on stage, each with a different mix balance, with a digital audience source, creating a hybrid sound that reproduces the day’s performance in soundboard quality. Clicks inherent in some IEM audio have been removed as much as possible, resulting in a hybrid sound throughout. Furthermore, the DVD footage, shot with digital cameras, primarily features screen shots of the venue’s giant screen, edited with footage from other cameras to recreate the entire live performance with a professional-shot feel. The audio is synchronized with the CD’s multi-IEM matrix source, resulting in a quality far superior to fragmented footage found on YouTube and other platforms. First of all, their performance on August 29th was part of “THE GREATEST ROCK FUKUOKA,” so this Ariake Arena show was their only solo performance. As it was their final tour, the set was truly a culmination of the band’s work, featuring five songs that weren’t in their previous 2024 performance. In the early numbers, Dean Castronovo, Jonathan Cain, and Jason Dalatka shared lead vocals. As it was a solo performance, they played several more songs than in Fukuoka, and the show lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes. Hugo, who also appeared in Fukuoka, delivered a Steve Perry-esque vocal performance on “Faithfully,” and also sang “Keep On Runnin’,” participating in a total of two songs. Hugo is also known for his work with a Journey tribute band, and with Arnel Pineda having expressed his intention to leave, there is much to look forward to regarding whether he will join as the new vocalist. This is a memorial item available only during their visit to Japan. Live at Ariake Arena, Tokyo, japan 1st September 2026 : ORIGINAL MASTER : Multiple Stereo IEM Matrix Recording / Original HQ.
