Description
As the latest compilation collection from a label essential for Beatles fans, this ultimate item, released as a direct import, completely reproduces the sound of Japanese singles with the unique analog quality etched onto the original record masters. It completely compiles all singles released in Japan from 1964 to 1982, including Japan-exclusive couplings, with 56 songs from the early period and 40 from the later period, all in chronological order using the original sound sources. The sound is completely reproduced with the unique analog quality directly converted from the original record masters, and all of the Japan-exclusive jacket photos, including alternative designs, are also included. From the 1960s onward, albums and singles were released one after another in Japan with unique projects, and although “Please Please Me” was planned as their debut single in Japan in February 1964, “I Want to Hold Your Hand” was released first, and from then on, singles were released almost every month. While all Beatles songs are now digitally remastered to a global standard, at the time, cutting and mastering were not standardized in the UK, the US, and other countries around the world. Now, the unique differences in sound characteristic of analog recordings are attracting attention, and this single collection adheres to the original sound sources, directly converting from the record masters to perfectly reproduce the unique sound of analog. In particular, all singles up to the late 1960s are straight and powerful mono recordings, capturing the lo-fi sound quality that is the antithesis of digital, making this the first complete collection of single recordings from the analog era before the advent of CDs. Furthermore, the collection includes all the charming Japanese jacket photos in chronological order of release, including alternate jacket designs from later reissues, making this a visually appealing and must-have limited collector’s edition for fans.
