This is a recording of a live performance held on August 1, 2011, at the O2 Academy on Hawtham Street in Liverpool, a venue with a capacity of approximately 1200 people, during their UK tour following the release of their ninth album, “PANIC OF GIRLS,” eight years after their previous work. You can listen to it from the soundboard source of “BBC Radio 2 In Concert,” which aired three days later. The setlist includes songs from the then-new album “PANIC OF GIRLS,” as well as familiar numbers that summarize their career, such as “Maria,” which topped the UK charts in 1999 after a 19-year hiatus, the single hit “Heart of Glass” from their third album “PARALLEL LINES,” and the 1980 hit “Call Me.” In addition, the Beatles cover “Please Please Me,” which is only available as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of “PANIC OF GIRLS,” is a must-listen. 02 Academy,Liverpool,UK August 1,2011 01.Union City Blue 02.Dreaming 03.Atomic 04.Hanging On The Telephone 05.Call Me 06.Love Doesn’t Frighten Me 07.Maria 08.What I Heard 09.Sunday Girl 10.Mother > 11.One Way Or Another 12.Please Please Me 13.Rip Her To Shreds 14.Heart Of Glass 15.Interview with Debbie Harry & Chris Stein, June 2011
