On October 26, 1980, a long-awaited 3-disc restored version of the concert at the Parasport Primo Carnera in Udine, Italy, was released, featuring a complete 153-minute recording. This recording captures the peak of Jaco Pastorius’s career, immediately following the release of “Night Passage,” showcasing the overwhelming performance of the golden lineup: Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Peter Erskine, and Robert Thomas Jr. The setlist includes tracks from newer albums such as “Fast City,” “Night Passage,” and “Three Views of a Secret,” highlighting Jaco’s phenomenal bass solo, the thrilling duet between Zawinul and Shorter, and the unrelenting energy that continues until the very end.
