This release features a full recording from a high-quality audience master released by the taper of a one-night-only live performance held on August 7, 2026, in Woodstock, New York, by a project featuring key members of King Crimson from the 80s and 90s: Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Pat Mastelotto. This project brings together not only the three main members but also other King Crimson-related players such as Trey Gunn once a year for a performance, and this was the first time in three years since 2023. The live show began with Tony Levin’s Stick Men, Adrian Belew’s Power Trio, and “Tu-Ner” by Pat Mastelotto & Trey Gunn, with each unit playing a few songs before the second half saw the full band perform a string of King Crimson numbers from the 60s and 90s. Furthermore, Belew and Tony Levin, with their 80s King Crimson-playing band “BEAT,” will begin a US tour in October, and it has been announced that Terry Bozzio will be joining the band as a replacement for Danny Carey, who will be unable to participate due to his work with Tool, which has generated considerable buzz. They have also announced that songs from the 90s will be included in the setlist, and there is a high possibility that this supergroup, including Steve Vai, will perform the songs from this show, making it a must-listen item for fans, including checking it out in advance.
