Pat Metheny Group Lyle Mays/Portugal 06.30.1991 FM Broadcast Edition

The 1991 European tour is a record of the peak period, leading to the mature worldview of the masterpiece “Letter From Home” and the later released live album “The Road To You.” This release, “Lisbon 1991,” is a highly anticipated title for fans, containing high-quality soundboard recordings made in Lisbon, Portugal during that tour. The lineup is truly a golden combination: Pat Metheny, Lyle Mays, Steve Rodby, Paul Wertico, Pedro Aznar, and Armando Marçal. They deliver a performance of classic hits and representative repertoire from the early 90s with overwhelming perfection. As this performance takes place around the same time as the official live album “The Road To You,” it’s also enjoyable to compare the arrangements and performances. Enjoy this must-have live recording for fans, which allows you to fully appreciate the stage performance of the Pat Metheny Group at its peak with the clear sound quality only broadcast soundboard recordings can provide.
