As expected from a band with a long career and proven talent, the first disc features only four songs repeated from previous sets, creating a seamless, continuous live performance that is enjoyable from start to finish. The first half, set in Germany, showcases their immense presence. The contrasting structure of the French set, with its string of great songs that are almost painfully moving, is a welcome sight. The second disc features a professionally shot recording of their headlining performance on the first day of the Reading Festival in the UK on August 24, 2012. This was their first appearance at Reading in over 30 years, since their debut in 1979. Moreover, the fact that a band that hadn’t released new material in several years was headlining demonstrates The Cure’s unparalleled presence at the moment. Several shots have been edited together, and there are many good shots, resulting in a powerful video. In 2009, The Cure played several shows in the UK in February, and performed in Las Vegas on the 17th of April. This Coachella performance on the 19th was their last, and they entered a period of silence of more than two years until their reunion in May 2011. As this was their last live performance before the hiatus, their passion is undeniable. The performance time was 170 minutes, just 10 minutes short of the 3-hour mark!
