Description
In 1973, Keith Jarrett was at the height of his European solo tour, performing in Bremen and Lausanne, and simultaneously delivering a completely improvised solo concert at the Molde Jazz Festival in Norway. The existing broadcast recording is a single improvisation lasting approximately 50 minutes, offering a palpable sense of the freedom and fresh creativity characteristic of that era. It’s a miraculous solo performance where the young Keith Jarrett, without any blueprint, sat down at the piano and continued to weave music that existed only in that moment. Delicate melodies rising from silence, a vibrant energy reminiscent of gospel, and an overwhelming improvisational power that effortlessly transcends the boundaries between classical and jazz—everything flows naturally as a single story, inviting the listener on a profound sonic journey. Live At Molde Kino, Molde, Norway August 2nd, 1973 1. Piano Improvisation (50:20)
