Description
This recording captures Quincy Jones & The All-Starr Band’s performance at the Budweiser Superfest held at the Rose Bowl in California on August 1, 1982, in official-quality stereo soundboard audio, digitally remastered in 2026 from the original FM broadcast master. The All-Starr Band features an impressive lineup including Greg Phillinganes, Carlos Rios, Louis Johnson, Jerry Hey, and many others, joined by familiar vocalists such as James Ingram, Patti Austin, and Charles May. And for the final Ashford & Simpson vocal number, Michael Jackson even makes an appearance, bringing the show to a close with “Stuff Like That”—a dreamlike, one-night-only performance that surpasses even the legendary “Live at Budokan,” now presented in the highest quality ever.
