Black Crowes / NY, USA 2013 Complete Soundboard Edition

After a hiatus starting in 2010, Chris made a limited comeback in 2013 for the “Lay Down With Number 13” US tour, where he co-headlined with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. This release couples two shows from that tour in Port Chester, New York, with audio and video (Blu-ray). The CD features a full recording of the first show of the tour, using a soundboard recording leaked by someone involved at the time. This is a soundboard recording directly from the mixing console, recently released by staff from that era. While it lacks some of the live atmosphere, it is completely unprocessed and unedited, allowing Chris’s vocals, as well as the guitar and drums, to resonate with a realistic, live sound, and the band’s ensemble to come through directly. The video features a complete 2-hour and 18-minute recording of the final show of the tour on October 22nd, using professional footage from the webcast broadcast. Taking advantage of Blu-ray’s large capacity, the live performance is reproduced in the original HD quality. While an official bootleg recording of the April 3rd show, the second day of the tour, was released from the same Port Chester performance, these are two completely different shows. Moreover, these shows featured a greater number of rare and cover songs, resulting in significantly different setlists each day.
