This release features a 57-minute concert performance from January 12, 1980, at Shibuya Kokaido in Tokyo—part of his third tour of Japan—captured via professional-shot footage originally broadcast on Japanese television. It was created by overseas fans who digitally enhanced a recording of the original broadcast (sourced from a VHS master) using state-of-the-art equipment. Improvements include image processing, frame-rate doubling, and color correction (adjusting brightness and contrast), alongside audio refinement using compressors, limiters, and EQ. While it may not match the resolution of modern digital broadcasts, the very existence of this footage is miraculous, and the quality is undeniably the best available today. The performance captures a pivotal moment when his fanbase in Japan was steadily growing; having left The Crusaders and released *Strikes Twice*, he was building his career as a solo artist. The setlist includes three tracks from that album, the signature opener “Room 335,” and The Crusaders’ classic “Put It Where You Want It,” all presented here in top-notch quality.
