Following the success of their 2006 album “Metheny/Mehldau,” Pat Metheny and Brad Mehldau continued with the same members in 2007, releasing “Metheny/Mehldau Quartet.” This live recording captures a performance by the same members in Washington in April 2007, recorded by an audience. While the sound quality was quite good, the applause and cheers between songs were quite loud, so careful adjustments were made, and the tone was slightly improved to enhance clarity. The result is a remarkably good sound quality. The album also features duo performances by Metheny and Mehldau, making it a treat for fans.
