Description
Here comes the latest collection of outtakes from 26 years ago! Nightingale and Leaving For New York have been remastered for improved sound quality, with a few seconds longer intro. The instrumental version of I Need A Man, featuring horns, is reminiscent of the performance of Controversy on the Parade Tour. Feel U Up is longer than the 1986 version of Short Stroke, but shorter than Long Stroke. The Big Pump is a different version from the full version found on ‘Work It’ and the version on ‘Hey Man… Smell My Finger’. The Instrumental is an unreleased track with no official title, recorded on March 24, 1987 (six days before the release of ‘Sign O’ The Times’) at the Washington Avenue Warehouse. This song was created as a tribute to Miles Davis, who was visiting Minneapolis at the time. Miles even stopped by the recording studio, and Prince, who was creating the drum part, asked him to stay. That was the first time Miles met Atlanta Bliss and praised his trumpet playing on ‘Parade’. Bobbi Jo #2 is a piano demo, a longer version than #1. Batman Theme – We Got The Power (Batman early unreleased trailer) is unreleased material used for an early trailer for the 1989 film ‘Batman’. Batman Theme became Jailbait, and We Got The Power became the chant part of Batdance. Both tracks were also considered for inclusion on ‘Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic’. There is also an edited version of Fantasia Erotica by Anna Fantastic, but with a different mix. And a remix of Trouble that includes a Man O War remix, and an edit sample of that. Tell Me How U Want 2 B Done (Extended Remix) from 1998. The studio version of Turn Me Loose, which aired on KJLH Internet Radio on September 24, 2008, includes the entire song, including the narration. Turn Up features vocals by Prince, not Judith Hill. Although it’s AI-generated, the level of perfection is astonishing. Furthermore, the studio version of Unbeknownst 2 U, for which a paper with the lyrics still exists, has been leaked. It’s a 1 minute 41 second edit, but it conveys the brilliance of the song. A full version created with AI is also included. The ending is abrupt, but the sound and singing style, which further develop from the lyrics, are incredibly realistic. The lyrics use “Eye” instead of “I,” which suggests the song was created sometime before 1988, but the recording date is unknown. I’ve finally found it, something unlike anything else, it feels like Picasso’s last sketch. If I don’t pursue this feeling, my soul will suffocate. I can’t help but do something you don’t yet know, who exactly are you? You’re stirring my heart so much, it’s as if I’ve broken a rule I shouldn’t have crossed. A butterfly is fluttering in my chest. Whenever I do something you don’t yet know, your shadow stains the room every time I leave. Every casual word you say blossoms in the darkness. I try to bury every feeling beneath the midnight blue, yet every wandering path leads back to you. Even now, every time I hear your name, I tremble, like a stone remaining behind closed eyelids, like an unforgettable prayer. I used to wear heartbreak like perfume, without you knowing, and now I’m dancing with the ghosts in the corner of the room. 01. Nightingale 4:10 02. Leaving For New York 5:52 03.
