This release features a nearly complete 1 hour and 27 minute recording of the Williamsburg performance on February 8th, from the final leg of the 1984 Final World Tour’s North American leg, taken from a recently released high-quality audience master. The quality is astonishing for a cassette recording of that era; at first listen, it sounds like a leaked soundboard recording. Incidentally, there is also the official live video “SYNCHRONICITY CONCERT” from the same period, but this recording includes songs like “Murder By Numbers” that are not included in that video. Above all, because it is a completely unprocessed live recording, the band’s ensemble is reproduced with raw realism, and the performance, which is hard to believe was played by a trio at the time, is definitely a must-listen for fans.
