This edition includes a DVD featuring a full recording of the April 11th Tokyo Budokan concert, the memorable first show of their 2026 Japan tour after a three-year hiatus, taken from the original audience master recording, and also includes high-quality audience shots of the same day’s performance. First, the original high-quality master, recorded at the Budokan’s best acoustic sweet spot, has been meticulously digitally remastered to create a hybrid sound that perfectly reproduces the day’s events. Furthermore, the DVD footage, shot with digital cameras, is recorded from a 4K master, and the camera from the first floor of the front stands perfectly captures the entire stage with virtually no obstructions, allowing for a well-balanced viewing experience of the entire band. The audio is synchronized with the remastered CD audio, and the quality, including the sound, is vastly superior to fragmented footage found on YouTube and other platforms. This visit, billed as “MADE IN JAPAN,” coincided with the release of “=1” the previous year, and featured the first-ever Japanese performances of three songs from that album: “A Bit On The Side,” “Lazy Sod,” and “Bleeding Obvious.” In addition, the instrumental jam number “Guinnesis” also made its debut, demonstrating that this is the latest and most current Deep Purple. Of course, there was also a parade of their golden 70s hits, starting with the opening “Highway Star,” and songs like “Hard Lovin’ Man” and “Into The Fire” from “IN ROCK” were included in the set for the first time in a while, making this a limited-edition memorial item for this visit that allows you to experience a different side of them compared to three years ago.
