This release features a complete 1 hour and 48 minute recording of the April 13th show at Grand Cube Osaka, the second day of their 2026 Japan tour—their first in three years—from a high-quality audience master released by the taper. This tour, billed as “MADE IN JAPAN,” coincided with the release of their album “=1” the previous year, and included the Japanese premieres of three tracks from the album: “A Bit On The Side,” “Lazy Sod,” and “Bleeding Obvious.” Additionally, the instrumental jam number “Guinnesis” also made its first appearance, showcasing Deep Purple’s current and vibrant sound. The setlist was identical to their Budokan performance, featuring a parade of 70s classics, including the opening number “Highway Star.” The inclusion of “Hard Lovin’ Man” and “Into The Fire” from “IN ROCK” after a long absence from the setlist makes this a unique and memorable item, offering a glimpse into their current, different sound compared to three years ago.
