Description

Ace Frehley, one of the KISS originators who built a long solo career, now has the ultimate compilation featuring all the music videos he has ever released. This compilation, featuring 15 music videos and four bonus videos, includes all of his music videos from his career outside of KISS. Not only does it cover all of Ace’s music videos from his time outside of KISS, but every video has been meticulously curated by an overseas KISS expert to ensure the highest quality. Furthermore, this expert also worked on the highly acclaimed KISSTORY series and the KISS music video collection “ANTHOLOGY: THE COMPLETE MV COLLECTION 1975-2012.” Anyone who has experienced either of these will appreciate the expert’s deep knowledge of music and discerning eye. While this compilation tells Ace’s solo history through video, it’s important to note that he wasn’t always making music videos. To explain the situation, let’s take a look at the music videos included in this work. 80s (7 songs) – FREHLEY’S COMET: Rock Soldiers/Into The Night – SECOND SIGHTING: Insane/It’s Over Now/Fallen Angel – Others: Rip It Out/Do Ya 2010s and later (8 songs) – SPACEMAN: Mission To Mars/Rockin’ With The Boys – 10,000 VOLTS: 10,000 Volts/Cherry Medicine/Walkin’ On The Moon – ORIGINS series: Fire And Water (with Paul Stanley)/Space Truckin’/I’m Down You can also see plenty of moving FREHLEY’S COMET…and so on. The first half of this work covers the 80s, when he left KISS and started working without his mask. The second half covers the 2010s to 2020s, about 30 years later. One reason Ace didn’t release an album in the 90s while he was busy reforming KISS is that no music videos were produced for his albums ‘ANOMALY (2009)’ and ‘SPACE INVADER (2014)’. The first half, the 80s, offers plenty of precious footage of him from his Frehley’s Comet days. “Rip It Out” is a live clip from the EP ‘LIVE+1’, and “Do Ya” is a track from ‘TROUBLE WALKIN”, his comeback album after Frehley’s Comet disbanded. The music video for “Fire & Water” marks his reunion with his close friend Paul. After a long silence, a music video was produced again 27 years later, in 2016. It was for “Fire & Water” from the cover album ‘ORIGINS VOL. 1’. And this song is the highlight of this work. It’s the familiar FREE classic, but sung by his close friend Paul Stanley. While the album only featured vocals, the PV begins with a reunion scene where the two rekindle their friendship, then transitions into a performance with the two of them standing side-by-side without makeup. It’s truly an emotionally moving song. Four precious bonus pro-shot videos are also included. After the PVs for all 15 songs, four more bonus pro-shot videos are included. The first is from the FREHLEY’S COMET era. It’s a making-of video that features behind the scenes of the “Insane” clip. You can see even more sexy nurses than in the main video. Next is the TV commercial for the 2009 album “ANOMALY” and the official DVD “BEHIND THE PLAYER”. As mentioned earlier, this was a period when no PVs were made, but he himself appears riding a motorcycle. It’s a masterpiece of a drama-style commercial that hypes up “Ace is back!” And finally, there’s the making-of for his posthumous album “10,000 VOLTS”. The making-of from the FREHLEY’S COMET era felt like it was just filmed without any particular direction, but here it is a mini-documentary that is well-structured with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. This is the ultimate video collection, allowing you to see all 15 of Ace Frehley’s solo music videos in one go. A collection of rare footage that is a blessing to behold, compiled with official-level quality only a researcher could have known, a video masterpiece that should have been officially released. A must-have for your collection, alongside the hugely successful KISS edition, “ANTHOLOGY: THE COMPLETE MV COLLECTION 1975-2012”. This ultimate video collection completely covers all 15 music videos released by Ace Frehley in his career outside of KISS. A collection of the best quality, supervised by an overseas KISS researcher familiar from the KISSTORY series. You can also enjoy the rare moving video of FREHLEY’S COMET and a music video in which he co-stars with his close friend Paul without makeup.
