Description

This masterpiece was once known as “THEATRE OF ROSEMONT.” This release is an upgraded version that significantly elevates that already top-tier recording. Subsequently, the discovery of recordings from the “THEATRE OF PAIN Tour” progressed, and finally, a completely official-quality soundboard recording, “LONG BEACH 1985 SOUNDBOARD,” was released. To help organize my collection, let’s first examine the overview of their activities at the time and confirm the show’s place within that context. 1985: June 21st – “THEATRE OF PAIN” released; July 7th-15th: First visit to Japan (7 shows); July 31st – December 21st: North America (92 shows) ←★HERE★ 1986: January 22nd – February 3rd: Europe #1 (10 shows); February 6th-15th: UK (9 shows) ←※DEFINITIVE SHEFFIELD 1986 etc.; February 19th – March 3rd: Europe #2 (10 shows) ←※STOCKHOLM 1986; August 22nd: West Hollywood performance; November – Production of “GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS” begins. Masterful recordings polished up with meticulous mastering. This is MOTLEY CRUE in 1985/1986. The Rosemont performance on this album is the 62nd show of the “North American” leg. This concert took place approximately four weeks (15 shows prior) to the simultaneous release of the new masterpiece album, “LONG BEACH 1985 SOUNDBOARD.” This recording, capturing that show, is a masterpiece unearthed from the collection of a master who produced numerous excellent recordings in the mid-80s. This person is said to have worked on a number of illustrious albums, including IRON MAIDEN’s “SLAVERY MASTER,” Ozzy Osbourne’s “ULTIMATE SIN IN CHICAGO,” and (although not confirmed) METALLICA’s superb masterpieces “THE ECSTASY OF ARAGON,” “CHICAGO 1986 FIRST LEG,” and “DEFINITIVE MASTER OF CHICAGO.” His Mötley Crüe compilation is, of course, superb. It was highly praised for its realistic and natural sense of presence, and its directness and compelling listening experience, almost like a line recording. This album is a completely re-examined and polished version of that legendary recording, representing a new and improved version. While every possible method has been used to refine the sound, perhaps the most effective was the pitch correction. The more precisely adjusted pitch accurately reproduces the sound of the live performance, enhancing its dynamism and sharpness. You can feel the reality of being there in person. Experience the THEATRE OF PAIN Tour with 100% authentic sound. This superb sound captures the full show of the magnificent “THEATRE OF PAIN Tour.” The setlist is the same as on “LONG BEACH 1985 SOUNDBOARD,” but it differs from the masterpiece “DEFINITIVE SHEFFIELD 1986 ‘SMOKING HELL'” from the “UK” leg by “Crazy S.” Let’s compare and clarify it here. Theater of Pain (7 songs) – Use It Or Lose It / Fight For Your Rights / Home Sweet Home / Keep Your Eye On The Money / Louder Than Hell / Smokin’ In The Boys Room / City Boy Blues (★★) Others (7 songs + 3 songs) – Shout at the Devil: Looks That Kill / Shout At The Devil / Ten Seconds To Love / Red Hot / Too Young to Fall in Love / Knock ‘Em Dead, Kid (★) / Helter Skelter Others: Piece Of Your Action (★★) / Live Wire / Jailhouse Rock *Note: Songs marked with “★” were not included on the classic album ‘DEFINITIVE SHEFFIELD 1986’. Songs marked with “★★” were not included on ‘SMOKING HELL’ either. …and so on. This set is centered around “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL” and “THEATRE OF PAIN,” and includes repertoire not heard on the UK leg, such as “City Boy Blues” and “Piece Of Your Action.” While a similar set could be experienced on the simultaneously released “LONG BEACH 1985 SOUNDBOARD,” this release is a 100% authentic, live audience recording. Unlike the soundboard recording, which synchronizes with the performance itself, this recording captures the energy and groove that only a live performance at its peak could offer. This is a new masterpiece that surpasses the pinnacle of recordings that were once beloved as classic albums. Enjoy it together with the simultaneously released “LONG BEACH 1985 SOUNDBOARD” to experience the magnificent “THEATRE OF PAIN Tour” from both a soundboard and audience perspective. “November 1, 1985 Rosemont performance.” A superb audience recording of that performance. Masterful recordings by expert tapers have been meticulously remastered and polished, faithfully recreating the original live sound. You can experience a full show from the US, including repertoire that was often omitted in other countries, such as “City Boy Blues” and “Piece of Your Action.” Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, IL, USA 1st November 1985 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (51:35) 1.
