This release couples footage from the “The Poor Me Tour,” a US tour held from 1996 to 1998 in support of the release of “Lord,” specifically the January 2nd, 1997 show in Salt Lake City, Utah, which was the band’s first performance of the year, with the best sound and video quality to date. Initially, this footage was exclusively broadcast on the website as a special program in response to the “Stay Home” situation caused by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, but this is a recently released upgraded version, featuring perfect stereo soundboard and pro-shot video, both totaling 2 hours and 8 minutes of footage, and is of comparable quality to the official live performance “CUNNING STUNTS” from the same period. Furthermore, while the setlist is almost identical to “CUNNING STUNTS,” tracks like “Wasting My Hate” from “LORD” and the iconic 80s hit “Whiplash” can only be seen here, and the presence of the ultimate thrash song “Whiplash” is particularly significant, making a huge difference in aggression and tension. Furthermore, the biggest highlight is the final act, where, just like in the official version, a fake major accident occurs during the end of “Enter Sandman,” with the stage collapsing. The explosions, fires, and crane collapses create an extraordinary sense of tension, and the sheer power surpasses even the official version, making this limited collector’s edition a must-have for fans who haven’t seen it yet.
