This 1 hour and 44 minute recording is based on a radio broadcast master soundboard recording from the early stages of the 1988 Euro tour on February 16th at the Théâtre de Colonne in France, and has also been newly remastered in 2026. First of all, the original master was already of high quality, and with the latest equipment, pitch correction, hiss noise reduction, and increased sound pressure have been achieved to perfect quality. 1988 was also a period of the most energetic activity for Miles after his comeback, and both Miles and the band were in top condition, especially at the beginning of this tour. From “Perfect Way” in the middle of the song, the band comes together as one, and Foley plays with great freedom. In the latter half, Miles’ open entry and muted singing style also showcase his excellent form that day. From Miles’ playing on “Tutu” to the following Prince number “Movie Star” and the mellow and delicate flow from the super funky rhythm to “Time After Time,” these are all highlights. Incidentally, five months later, they came to Japan for the now-legendary “Live Under the Sky” performance, and their playing, which emphasizes the group’s combination work and focuses on precise “details,” is reminiscent of that overwhelming performance. What’s more, the performance actually lasted for over two and a half hours, which was surprising at the time. Although this is not a full recording as it is a broadcast recording, the free-spirited playing throughout is impressive, making it a must-have item for fans.
