Description
Blondie, having reunited, have released a new item featuring a high-quality stereo audience recording of their May 1999 San Francisco concert! This new item captures the live performance held on May 30, 1999, at The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, which has a capacity of approximately 2450 people, as part of the “NO EXIT TOUR” that followed the release of their seventh album, “NO EXIT,” their first in 17 years. The recording has been digitally transferred from a low-generation master, resulting in a clear sound quality that is considered top-class for its time. It boasts a wide range and a deep sound image, and the vocals, as well as each instrument, are recorded with excellent balance and stability, resulting in a clear sound. The album begins with the opening sound effect and includes three tracks selected from “NO EXIT”: “Maria,” the lead single released prior to the album which topped the UK charts for the first time in 19 years; “Screaming Skin,” the ska number that opens the album; and “Boom Boom In The Zoom Zoom Room.” In addition, you can fully enjoy a superb setlist that summarizes their work up to that point, including the 1980 hit “Call Me,” a cover of Randy & the Rainbows’ “Denis,” a single hit from their second album, “The Tide Is High,” a John Holt rocksteady number cut from the 1980 album “AUTOAMERICAN,” and the single hit “Heart Of Glass” from their third album “PARALLEL LINES,” all in immersive, high-quality stereo audience recording!
