Description
This new release features a high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the Zurich, Switzerland concert from the 1986 “Bra Bra Bra Tour,” sourced from an FM broadcast! This recording captures the December 12, 1986 performance at the Volkshaus, a venue with a capacity of approximately 1200 people located in Zurich, Switzerland, during the “Bra Bra Bra Tour,” which followed the release of Bowie’s eighth studio album, “Bra Bra Bra,” marking his comeback. Recorded from a cassette master recorded from an FM broadcast, the sound quality is exceptionally clear, with excellent mix and balance. While this audio has been used in numerous bootlegs, including Swingin’ Pig’s “Real Wild Child,” this release uses a different master, resulting in a clearer sound quality. The pitch, which was off in “Real Wild Child,” is also correctly reproduced. The master used for this release had a few seconds missing from the intro of “TV Eye” and the ending of “Search And Destroy,” which were filled in using a different master. Furthermore, any positional discrepancies caused by the master were carefully corrected, and the high-frequency-heavy sound image was upgraded to a well-balanced sound through remastering. The setlist features six tracks, starting with the breathtaking Stooges numbers “I Got A Right” and “Gimme Danger,” and including “Fire Girl,” “Cry For Love,” and “Winners And Losers,” all collaborations with Steve Jones from their then-new album “Blah Blah Blah.” This is a powerful performance showcasing tight playing and Seamus Begen’s keyboards soaring through the air!
